In each new season inOnce Human, players can choose between differentMemetic Specializationsto change how they build, craft, gather, or manage their territories. Four specializations arerandomly rolledevery five levels, andonly one specializationeach time can be chosen.Players can reroll specializationsa limited number of times per season, but will be provided different options the following season.
Depending on which Memetic Specializations are rolled, the player’s options for production will change, such as usingEnergy Links and Sulfur to produce Acidrather than using Polluted Water. 10Deluxe Storage Crate
More Storage For Late Game Materials
Storage Crates are extremely importantfor storing excess materialsyou need for crafting and building. Especially later in the season, Facility Spots become limited, withStorage Crates taking up one spot per crate. Instead, consider picking up theDeluxe Storage CrateMemetic Specialization, which allows players to now construct a larger Storage Crate with double the item slots. This way, you can reduce the total number of crates in your territory, and keep more materials in one small storage area.

Not only are these useful for the player with the specialization, but they can alsobe built for other players, such as Hive members, if given building permissions to others' territories. Some players may even charge a small fee to do so, or propose a trade. Deluxe Storage Crates only take thesame amount of materialsas a regular large storage crate, making them very cheap to build.
Alwaysbe carefulgiving build permissions to other players! They will be able to buildand destroyobjects in your territory while the permissions are active. Be sure you trust the player and be prepared toremove their permissions quicklyafter services are provided.
9Super Refinery
Produce Fuel Faster
Super Refineriesare heavily desired by players withterritories located in oil fields, or dark areas of the map where oil can be gathered with Water Pumps. Unlike regular Refineries, Super Refineries need much less Portable Mixed Fuel to craft Barreled Premium Fuel. They are also able to convert Acid into Portable Mixed Fuel for further yield.

These Super Refineriesoperate twice as fastto produce Portable Mixed Fuel and havetwo processing slots each, whereas regular Refineries canonly convert one material at a time. This means players can convert both Crude Oil and Acid into Portable Mixed Fuel at the same time, or can produce Portable Mixed Fuel and Barreled Premium Fuel.

Instead of using the classic method of gathering Polluted Water with Water Pumps, players can instead use the Synthesis Bench in their territory toconvert Sulfur and Energy Links into Acid. If you have methods to gain additional Energy Links, such as thePrecious Metal RefiningMemetic Specialization, then this can be a viable way to produce Acid.
Slowly turn Acid into Sulfur using the Synthesis Bench.

Plenty Of Ingots For Energy Links
Obtaining thePrecious Metal Refiningspecialization now lets players smelt the precious ores they have harvested into Gold and Silver bars. Each bar can be sold for a high price to vendors in Strongholds, with Silver Ingots selling for 6,000 EL and Gold Ingots selling for 12,000 EL. This is one of the most viable ways to generate Energy Links for crafting, buying, and trading.

Smelt Gold and Silver Ores into Ingots using the Electric Furnace. The Ingots can be sold for a large number of Energy Links.
Vendors in Strongholds can only purchaseup to 50,000 ELworth of materials per week. This means you may still have leftover Gold or Silver Ingots at the end of the week. If you have extra,try selling them in your Vending Machineat a reduced cost. Many players without the specialization will gladly purchase them to resell and generate a small profit.
4Solar Drill
Infinite Durability In Sunny Spots
Solar Drillsautomatically refill energy in sunny weather, which can be seen in the upper right-hand side of the screen.

The Solar Drill charges itself on sunny days. Enjoy +15%-40% yields of Copper Ore, Tin Ore, Iron Ore, Aluminum Ore and Tungsten Ore.
When theweather icon is a sun, Solar Drills will regain charge and not lose charge while drilling. This is a huge improvement over regular drills,which will run out of chargeand break. Be very careful to monitor the “charge” of your Solar Drill though, asit can breakif you use it too much in cloudy weather without recharging!

More Power = More Production
TheGenerator: Electrical ExpertMemetic Specialization is extremely useful for just about any player. It allows them to placeone additional generatorper territory and increases the output of each generator by anadditional +2W. Similar to other specializations, players can use this abilityat other players' territoriesto build them an additional generator.

Depending on where your base is located, you may benefit more fromspecific generator Memetic Specializations. Examples would beHydraulic Generator: One With The Tidesfor players whose territory is on a river, orDeviant Power Generator: Stardust Unleashedfor those in a polluted area.

For players participating in Prime Wars,Biomass Missile: Ample Munitionis irreplaceable. Biomass Missiles, which are ammunition required for Gatling Turrets, are needed to destroy the shields of Prime War bosses. With this specialization, players will be able to createthree times as many missilesfor the same amount of materials.

Not only are they needed for building, but players will use hundreds if not thousands of ingots in orderto craft weapons, armor, and ammunition. Doubling the yield will provide a much-needed boost to supplies to limit the amount of grinding for materials.
Facility Boostspecializations will only be appliedafter building the facilityagain. Make sure tobreak down and rebuildany facility, such as the Electric Furnace, after you unlock the specialization.
Memetic Specializations reset every season inOnce Human, allowing players multiple chances to choose the ones they need for success. With cooperation between friends and Hive members, players can selectively choose specializations so that everyone benefits from their choices. Don’t stress if you don’t get the one you need! Even more underrated ones can still be useful depending on the player.
