They say that “history is written by the winners”. However, if a superstar loses enough times, they too can write a chapter inWWEhistory. For every WrestleMania moment, there is someone staring at the lights in defeat. Every Royal Rumble features 29 losers. Evenmembers of WWE’s Hall Of Famehave accrued an impressive number of in-ring losses.
Some fans and commentators say that wins and losses don’t truly matter in pro wrestling, while others believe that it’s still an important statistic. While there are arguments to support both sides, it’s undeniable that some WWE superstars have had their shoulders pinned to the mat for three seconds a lot more than others.

10 Wrestlers With The Most WWE Wins, Ranked
While the WWE does not worry too much about wins and losses, some Superstars have accrued an impressive number of victories.
10Triple H
839 Losses
Considering he’s now the current head of creative for WWE,it sets a good example to today’s generation to see Triple H’s name on this list. While the internet has often used a shovel to beat him with, making jibes that Trips always wins in the end, Hunter actually lost a whopping eight hundred and thirty-nine times over fourteen largely successful years. It has to be of comfort to both talent and audience thatthe Paul Levesque era is led by a man who was never above taking a loss.
9Sheamus
886 Losses
This entry makes a lot of sense asSheamus has been a very active member of the WWE rostersince his arrival back in 2009.His wins have included every major title apart from the elusive Intercontinental Championship, including WrestleMania’s fastest-ever victory over Daniel Bryan in 18 seconds. He is likely to end his career higher on this list asthe Irishman recently committed his long-term future to the WWEand is going to be an incredible veteran in the years ahead. There may be a lot more losses in his future, but The Celtic Warrior can always be relied upon for banger after banger after banger.
8Kofi Kingston
887 Losses
Beloved by all, Kofi Kingston has the questionable honor of not only having the eighth-highest amount of losses in WWE history, but also of beingthe owner of the most universally hated WWE loss of all time. After the incredible feel-good moment of KofiMania back in 2019 at WrestleMania 35 and months of goodwill from the audience, Kofi would lose the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar in seven seconds. In a decade of bad booking decisions and taking the audience for granted,it stands as the single most egregious match result of WWE’s worst years.
7Cody Rhodes
893 Losses
He may be tougher than a 2 dollar steak in 2024, butCody Rhodes has amassed over eight hundred defeats in WWEacross two separate stints. Cody has a motto of “from undesirable to undeniable” and, as expected, the overwhelming majority of his defeats were from his first run with the company.Since returning, he has lost only eight timesat the point of writing, while racking up two Royal Rumble wins anda historic WWE Championship reignin the process.
6Big Show
910 Losses
Weeeeeell, that’s a lot of losses for The World’s Largest Athlete. The Big Show jumping ship from WCW to WWE in 2001 is one of the most successful moves in the history of wrestling trades. It’s easy to look at the number of losses here, buta win over a seven-foot-tall monster always meant something. Many careers were launched with wins against The Big Show, andhis influence is still felt on today’s rosterin the spirit and approach of Braun Strowman.
5Randy Orton
1,054 Losses
One of the more surprising entrants on this list,Randy Orton has wrestled his entire career inside a WWE ring, so it stands to reason that The Viper has eaten this many losses. Despite having accrued over 1,000 losses, that is a small price to pay for winning the World Championship 13 times. Incredibly,Orton is currently on one of the longest losing streaks of his career, tasting defeat in every PLE back to WrestleMania 37 and his victory over ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt.
4Dolph Ziggler
1,187 Losses
Now that his time in the company is over, Dolph Ziggler’s long stint in WWE is interesting to analyze. Flanked by Big E and AJ Lee and riding a wave of unanimous fan support, there was a time when Dolph was one of the hottest things in wrestling. His elite ability to sell for his opponent was perhaps to his detriment, but one of the best Money In The Bank cash-ins of all time remains part of a fairly solid legacy. Ultimately, the timing was right for both parties to go their separate ways in 2023.
Ziggler’s last few years in WWE were fairly brutal creatively, and he was regularly used as a whipping boy. Still, Dolph could make anyone look good in the ring, and while that resulted in this impressive number of losses, true fans will always admire and respect him for his ability and charisma.

3The Brooklyn Brawler
1,214 Losses
The Brooklyn Brawler isa WWE icon for all the wrong reasons. Steve Lombardi is the Muhammed Ali of losing. A staple of the 80’s and 90’s, The Brooklyn Brawler helped establish that not everybody on the WWE roster is born to be a winner. Solidifying what it meant to be a “jobber” (known today as “enhancement talent”) in the years when this figure was used on a daily basis in the company, Lombardi surely contributed to the industry more than fans will know. Perhaps the most surprising statistic of the Brawler’s time in WWE is thathe actually scored one hundred and fifty-two victoriesin his long career.
2Kane
1,229 Losses
Owner of one of the most jaw-dropping debuts in pro wrestling history,Glenn Jacobs had many loss-fueled gimmicks before becoming Kane. Fake Diesel, sadistic dentist Isaac Yankem (seriously), and DDS are all part of his legacy. All of these bad characters are part of the 1,229 losses racked up by Jacobs over 26 years in the company. Kane actually had the most losses of any superstar in WWE history when he retired, but he has since been surpassed.
Like in the Big Show’s case, this proves that being a big and nasty monster does not always equal racking up a lot of wins in the WWE. On the contrary, these types of superstars are often used to build credibility for the actual faces of the company.

1The Miz
1,309 Losses
Since day one,The Miz has been one of the most polarizing superstars to ever set foot in WWE. A wrestler who has seen the heights of headlining WrestleMania and the lows of suffering more defeats than anyone in the history of the world’s most popular wrestling promotion. Taste is subjective, but his willingness to do whatever is asked of him in the name of WWE cannot be questioned. As such, the amount of losses he has incurred should not be a shock.
Luckily, fans of today have finally come to appreciate The Miz as a truly talented pro wrestler. Not only does he possess charisma and the ability to cut a great promo on any given day, he is also greatly underrated as an in-ring worker. Hopefully, when The Miz retires from his Hall of FameWWEcareer, this statistic won’t be what he will be remembered for.
