There’s no denying thatBatman and Supermanwork great together, but there area few problems that Superman just doesn’t have to deal with while teaming up with Krypto. Batman is deeply paranoid, and he’s made it clear that he’ll take Superman down if necessary. The two aren’t always on the same page or working towards the same goals. Batman is also significantly weaker than Superman due to not having powers. While on any mission, Superman always has to devote some attention, even if it’s just one percent, to making sure Batman is okay.

Krypto’s literally the last living thing that Superman has from both his direct family and from Krypton.

So, whileBatman and Superman are best friends, they still have their disagreements, and their power levels aren’t equal. Neither of these are problems with Krypto.Krypto loves Superman unconditionally, and in some interpretations of their character histories, Krypto was the El family dog on Krypton. Krypto is literally the last living thing that Superman has from both his direct family and from Krypton. While there are characters like Kara Zor-El, she lived in an entirely different city, and Clark has no memory of meeting her. But he remembers Krypto. That’s a powerful bond that Batman simply can’t match.

Krypto Is the Best Partner Superman Could Have

Created by Otto Binder and Curt Swan, Krypto Debuted in 1955’sAdventure Comics#210

Superman has tons of friends, and he has tons of best friends, but there’s simply nothing like the love between a man and his loyal pet. Krypto would do anything for Superman, and he has the power to take care of himself. While Batman would certainly trade his life for Superman, that can often be due to the fact Batman simply doesn’t have the powers to keep up with Clark. Superman never has to worry about Krypto while in the field, and he can always depend onKryptoto do exactly what needs to be done, which makes himSuperman’sperfect partner.
