Terrifierfranchise star David Howard Thornton has teased multiple sequels to come, expressing interest in portraying Art the Clown for many more years. The slasher franchise focuses on murders committed by Thornton’s character, including multiple supernatural elements and gory murders that help the movie stand out among other blood-soaked horror films. TheupcomingTerrifier 3will see Art come back at Christmastime, hunting for Sienna Shaw after she seemingly killed him in the previous movie. It’s currently unclear how many more movies are planned following the forthcoming release.
However, speaking withEmpire Magazine,Thornton revealed his intention to continue portraying Art the Clown in as manyTerrifiersequels as he can.The actor’s statement highlights how he would play the slasher villain even at an older age, citing just how many movies in the franchise he wants to see get made. Check out what Thornton had to say below:

I don’t want to give him up! I’ll play him until I’m in a wheelchair. And even if I’m in a wheelchair, I’ll find ways to get around.
How Many Terrifier Sequels Will There Be?
Terrifier 3 Probably Won’t Be The Last One
Although it’s unconfirmed if more movies are coming after the third installment, franchise creator Damien Leone previouslyconfirmed plans forTerrifier 4, which could potentially be the final movie in the franchise. The director and writer has plans for how the slasher franchise will end, but it remains unclear how many movies it will take to reach that point. Depending on the number of ideas he has for future installments, Thornton might end up portraying the homicidal clown for at least a few more movies.
However, it seems Leone has a definitive ending for the series in mind, having confirmed the stories of major characters like Art and Sienna will be fully resolved once the final film gets released. Because of this, it’s unclear just how many more films Art will be featured in,making it uncertain if theTerrifiermovies will continue for as long as Thornton wants them to.But, because there’s a particular vision on display throughout the movie series, it may hinder the development of later films that continue the story beyond its current intentions.

Art The Clown Is So Much Scarier In Terrifier 3 Thanks To This Big Sequel Change
As brutal and gruesome as his kills were in the first two Terrifier movies, Art the Clown is even scarier in Terrifier 3 for one significant reason.
Despite Thornton potentially not getting the number of movies he desires out of the franchise,Leone could add more ideas to laterTerrifierfilms that stretch out the middle of the story. This would ensure more movies than expected could be made, while also guaranteeing the ending for his characters he’s already envisioned. Given the vast potential of the franchise, there could be many more films than expected, with the upcoming third installment being just the start for Art, Sienna, and all the other major characters involved.
