The Jizo Statues do not appear as a marker on your map until you have passed them inAssassin’s Creed Shadows. This means that you can easily ride past them without noticing them, only to see an icon pop up later.Each one gives you a little bit of experience, and it’s one of the collectibles you will have to get if you want to 100% the game. It doesn’t take long, so it’s an easy way to get a little bit of XP.
When you are trying tonavigate the map inAssassin’s Creed Shadows,you have to rely a lot more on natural exploration than in other previous games. For instance, in the last few games you have had access to an actual eagle that can scout out the land for you, and you could see where certain objectives are.That is not the case in this game as much, and you have to rely a lot more on a combination of Naoe’s Eagle Sense and the Observation Skill both protagonists share.

All Eight Statues You Need To Find In The Early Part Of The Game
There areeight total Jizo Statues located in Izumi Settsu, and all of them are relatively easy to get to if not easy to find. It’s the first section you will explore in the game, and that means the enemies should be easy to navigate if you come across any.

I would recommend usingNaoe of the two protagoniststo collect the Jizo Statues, as it means you can easily scale any obstacles, andshe can move a lot faster than her counterpart. You can also divert your path to nearby Synchronization Points a lot easier, which can help you later on if you need to return for more collectibles.
Kawachi Heights Jizo Statue
This Jizo Statue is located in the Southeast section of Izumi Settsu. It is located relativelybetween the Kawachi Heights Pagoda Synchronization Point and the Makinoodera Lookout Synchronization Point. Of the two, I would go for the Pagoda as it feels a little easier.
Katano Foothills Jizo Statue
This one will likely be the first one you come to, as it is located directly outside of yourHideout inAssassin’s Creed Shadows, or at least it is very close. You shouldn’t have many issues with it, but there are a few small enemy camps around, so look for those. The Hideout is the closest fast-travel point.
Yawata Plains Jizo Statue
This one is located in the Northeast of Izumi Settsu, and there are a couple close landmarks to it. The best one to use, in my opinion, is theLost Hills Summit Synchronization Point, because the road that will take you to the Jizo Statue connects.
Use the Pathfinder Option to find these statuesby placing a marker on your map as close as you can to the marker in the screenshot above and then letting the pathfinding lead you along the road. This is helpful because it takes you along the road, where all Jizo Statues are located.Make sure to turn off tracking on your questto make full use of this.
Once you have cleared this one, you have taken care of all the Jizo Statues on the eastern side of Izumi Settsu.
Sakai Jizo Statue
This one is locatedabout as far north in Sakai as you can gobefore getting into Osaka. The closest fast travel point is likelyeither the nearby Kakurega (Osaka or Sakai) or the Nanbansen Synchronization Pointdepending on if you want to swim or not.
Osaka Jizo Statue
This is just to the east of Osaka proper past the construction site. You canuse the Osaka Kakurega to fast-travel, as the other Synchronization Point is in enemy territory. It is also very close to the pre-order bonus quest for the dog, if you want to grab that while you are close by.
Katano Jizo Statue
This is the last one before you will have to cross the river.The Katano Kakurega is the closestand most easily accessible fast-travel spot, but if you haven’t unlocked it you may have to use the Synchronization Point in Katano Castle. It’s also not far from Osaka, so you can get there by horseback without too much trouble.
Amagasaki Jizo Statue
You will be sent to Nunobiki Falls as part of the main quest early in your time around Izumi Settsu. There’s aSynchronization Point at Nakayama Watchtower, or you can get to it from Amagasaki as well. It’s right at the crossroads between the falls and the town, so it should be easy to spot once you know it’s there.
Muggy Lands Jizo Statue
This is the one that confused me, as it doesn’t seem like this part of the map is in Izumi Settsu at first. I’m not sure why, but it is hard to spot.You also have to pass through Toneyama Post Townor go the long way around, which is inconvenient at best. However, this road will lead you to the Church of Takatsuki eventually,which you need to recruit Yaya. Use the Muggy Lands Kakurega to get to the final Jizo Statue in Izumi Settsu inAssassin’s Creed Shadows.
