Berserk Is Still As Great As Ever
Berserkvolume #42 will be the first volume to be released since Kentaro Miura’s death, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting. While there are notable differences between Miura’s and Studio Gaga’s art in terms of paneling and general visuals, the artwork forBerserkfrom volume #42, onward, is still filled with incredible composition and detail in every chapter, which still leaves it as one of the best-looking manga a person can read. Studio Gaga has done a great job of emulatingKentaro Miura’s art style, so longtime fans of the series will not be disappointed.
More to the point, of course, is the storyBerserkvolume #42 told.Berserk’s story is still as wonderfully dark and engaging as ever, and most importantly,Kouji Mori previously stated that he wouldn’t do anything withBerserk’s story that Kentaro Miura didn’t already plan out in advance, so even with Miura’s passing, it’s still going to be his story until the very end.Berserk’s revival has done an excellent job of continuing Kentaro Miura’s legacy, and it’s great that English fans will finally be able to experience that come March 2025.
