Boruto: Two Blue Vortex’s main character has been fighting an uphill battle ever since his life was literally turned upside down 3 years ago, but there is a glimmer of hope for him as he has acquireda powerful ally and a friend. This has large implications and will also make this fan favorite even more important than they were in the first part.
In chapter #14 ofBoruto: Two Blue Vortex, Boruto is captured and interrogated by Konohamaru and Ibiki, with Shikamaru and the two elders listening in and asking questions remotely. In the midst of the questioning, Shikamaru decided to save Boruto. As the Hokage, he obviously couldn’t step in and free him so he gave Mitsuki the mission to secretly free Boruto without arousing suspicion. While Mitsuki is on a mission given to him by the Hokage, the fact that he disregards his vendetta against Borutomeans that he has had a change of heart and decided to trust him.

Mitsuki’s Change of Heart Means Omnipotence Is Not Unbeatable
While there is certainly an argument that Mitsuki was simply following orders, this is unlikely givenhow he attacked Boruto earlier in the story, showing his extreme hate for him at the time. When the two fought, Boruto not only defeated him but also told him that he was his “sun”, and not Kawaki. Given how Mitsuki already had doubts regarding the truth, he is more inclined to believe it, and it seems the fruits of Boruto’s dialogue with him paid off, helping Mitsuki break Omnipotence’s reality-distorting power. Unfortunately, Konohamaru suspects something going on, and the elders warn Shikamaru that there will be consequences for Boruto escaping under his watch.
Mitsuki is a great ally for Boruto and arguably one of the strongest ninjas in the village. Besides being proficient in wind and lightning natures, he has access to the rare Sage Mode which gives him an incredible boost in strength, speed, and chakra reserves. He could definitely be of great help against the Shinju. Furthermore, the fact thathe is part of Orochimaru’s familymeans he could get the member of the Legendary Sannin on Boruto’s side.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Confirms The Best Theory About Boruto’s Secret Ally

It is interesting to see howBoruto: Two Blue Vortexwill utilize this underrated character, but so far, he is being set up to become an important piece in the puzzle and help Boruto in the struggle to save the world.
