A majorBosch: Legacyexecutive producer has responded to viewers who created a campaign to save the Prime Video series from its upcoming ending.Bosch: Legacyseason 3will be the final batch of episodes for the police procedural series, with Titus Welliver portraying the core protagonist in a main character role for the last time. However, fans of the show are pushing for season 3 not to be the end, organizing an online campaign to save the series. This is happening as Amazon develops a new series,Ballard, based on Renée Ballard (Maggie Q), introduced in season 3.
Now,executive producer Mitzi Roberts has taken to the Bosch Pit Facebook group(viaCollider) to advocate forBosch: Legacygetting more seasons. Roberts, who is also an LAPD detective and the real-world inspiration behind the Ballard character, said she’s supportive of the movement, but also acknowledges the work being done onBallardtoo. She advocates for supporting the series' continuation alongside the upcoming spinoff. Check out what Roberts had to say below:

I understand how you and the rest of the fans feel, and I’m extremely supportive of that. But I also know that the Ballard producers, cast, and crew (many of the same people from Bosch and Bosch: Legacy) are working tremendously hard to give Connelly fans an amazing show. We can and should support them AND advocate for a final season of Legacy.
What Roberts' Support Means For The Campaign To Save Bosch: Legacy
The Show Now Has An Executive Producer Backing It
Bosch: Legacyseason 3 will be ending the series while also laying the groundwork for itsupcomingBallardspinoffby introducing her into its universe. Both title characters come from books written by Michael Connelly, who serves as co-creator, co-executive producer, and a writer on the ongoing series. Their shared universe onscreen means Bosch could come back, even if he’s not in a main character role. However, the campaign is pushing for another season that can adequately wrap up his story, offering another high-octane case for him to investigate.
Bosch: 3 Things That Must Happen in Renée Ballard’s Spinoff
Screen Rant needs to see 3 things happen in the Renee Ballard spinoff, the upcoming show tasked with carrying the entire Bosch franchise.
Roberts' support of the campaign while alsoacknowledging the work that’s gone intoBallardindicates she wants to see the show continue without compromising its spinoff.Given the connections between both series, with somecast members onBosch: Legacylikely to reprise their roles, the shows could run concurrently in a shared universe. However, with many of the the same crew members working on the upcoming series, it’s unclear if they could split time between the two shows should the campaign be successful.

In Connelly’s books, Bosch and Ballard also share a universe with Mickey Haller ofThe Lincoln Lawyer, who has a separate adaptation on Netflix.
Our Take On Roberts' Comment About The Campaign To Save Bosch: Legacy
Can Her Support Push It In The Right Direction?
Given that Prime Video’s current focus is on finishingBosch: Legacyand startingBallard, it’s unclear if Roberts' support will be enough to save the series. However, given her role as an executive producer, she could have sway regarding the future of the franchise, especially if more people who work on the shows reflect similar sentiments. While the universe of the series will continue, it’s clear more than just fans want the main show to continue.
