Guilty Gear Strive
UMISHO is the GGST champion at CEO 2024. She defeated pretty strong opponents on the way to this victory, including TempestNYC, who wonGuilty Gear Strive DreamHack Dallas 2024and a few other big tournaments. In the winners final, UMISHO lost to Leffen, but in the grand final, she reset the bracket and won the decisive match with clear 3:0s.
Street Fighter 6
Punk won theSF6 tournament at CEO 2024. On the way to victory, he defeated two other super-strong American players: iDom and Nephew. DCQ from China sent Punk to the losers brackets from the winners final, but then Punk proceeded to the grand final, reset the bracket, and won the fight.

The winner of the Brawlhalla Spring Royale 2024, Kyna had super tough opponents in the top 8 brackets. First, the South American players defeated Impala, the Brawlhalla World Champion 2022. At this tournament, we could see how good the current meta of DBFZ is — with no Gogeta and Vegito in every team and just a few Android 21 Lab Coat in the top 8.

CEO 2024 schedule
The event happens on June 28-30. 2,676 players have registered for 27 tournaments. Not all of them are connected to fighting games, like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or Dance Dance Revolution A20 Plus. And not all fighting esports tournaments are really big and… well, interesting beyond their specific fan circle.
In our CEO 2024 schedule, we highlight the best games to follow, specifically the final top 8 parts of these tournaments.

Top reasons not to miss CEO 2024
Community Effort Orlando is one of the biggest events in the yearly fighting esports schedule. It doesn’t have the ultimate status of the most important one, like Evo has. And CEO is probably not as iconic as Combo Breaker. But there are some pretty substantial reasons to participate and follow it — specifically in 2024. Let’s list them for each game.
Mortal Kombat 1
There wasFinal Kombat 2024just a couple of weeks ago, and no new league info was announced yet. May that happen at CEO? In any case, MK1 got a hotfix right after that tournament, with some meaningful character adjustments. It will be the first time the updated Mortal Kombat 1 is played on such a big competitive level.
A few characters and kameo fighters got adjustments.

Eugene Bozhenko
Guilty Gear StriveandGranblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
Both these games have Gold qualifiers for the Arc World Tour 2024. GGST gotSlayerrecently, and pro players had enough time to adapt to this new character and maybe bring him to the fights. And maybe there will be some interesting announcements for Guilty Gear Strive Season 4. GBVS Rising also has a new character added recently. Will we see Beatrix fighting in the esports environment?
CEO 2024 features one of only two official LANs for this game. We have the Brawlhalla Midseason Championship 2024 here! The previous character, Vivi, was released quite a long time ago, so we can expect interesting announcements.

The Street Fighter community had more than enough time to adapt to theBattle Balance 2024changes, and this should be a solid SF6 competition. M.Bison joins the game a couple of days before CEO 2024, but he is still not eligible to play (unlike Akuma at Combo Breaker 2024). Street Fighter 6 at CEO 2024 is a qualifier for the Esports World Cup 2024. The top 2 players will get the precious spots.
The game has the first tournament of the DBFZ World Tour 2024. It’s super interesting what the competitive community will show after this period of obscurity, as many thought the game was dead already. We still have the opportunity to enjoy the current version, and after Evo 2024, DBFZ will get a new balance update.

It’s arguably the biggest tournament of CEO 2024. Players will fight for the TEKKEN World Tour 2024 standing points, and the event has a lot of those thanks to its highest rank as a Master TWT event. Also, it’s one of the last chances to qualify for the TEKKEN 8 Esports World Cup 2024. There will be two spots distributed. While some top participants have already qualified, more players will have this unique chance.
