Blink Twice’s Original Title Explained & Why Zoë Kravitz Changed It
Before landing on Blink Twice, writer-director Zoë Kravitz had a completely different — a far more provocative — title in mind for her thriller.
Combined with its box office haul and reviews,Blink Twice’s VOD performance cements Kravitz’s debut film as a success. While Kravitz has yet to announce her next feature, she should presumably have no trouble getting another movie off the ground. It’s also possible that whatever Kravitz directs next will be bigger in terms of its scale and budget.
Our Take On Blink Twice’s VOD Success
Kravitz’s Debut Features A Lot Of Style
Kravitz is still most widely known for her acting performances, recently appearing as Catwoman/ Selina Kyle inThe Batman(2022). WithBlink Twice, however, it’s entirely possible that Kravitz is about to enter a new stage of her career in which she spends just as much time behind the camera as in front of it.
While not all ofBlink Twiceworks, it features a lot of style and some genuine thrills. Considering the creepy tone and mystery in the trailer and the impressive roster of talent involved, it’s not surprising that the movie is finding success on home viewing platforms. It’s certain to do well on streaming, too.Blink Twicecertainly suggests that Kravitz has a bright future as a filmmaker, and I’m excited to see what she tackles next.
