Warning! Spoilers for Cobra Kai season 6, part 2 ahead!Johnny and Miguel traveled back and forth across the world in a single episode ofCobra Kai, and the Netflix series didn’t even try to make that make sense. Of course,Cobra Kaihasn’t typically worked too hard to justify its various plot twists. This has been a trend since a boy with only a few weeks of karate experience won the 1984 All-Valley Tournament. In the end, audiences tune in to theKarate Kidfranchise for heartwarming underdog moments and some kickass fights—not for grounded realism. Still,Cobra Kaiseason 6, part 2, really turned its back on the reality of transatlantic travel.

Theending ofCobra Kaiseason 6, part 1, saw the selected members of Miyagi-Do head to Barcelona, Spain, forthe Sekai Taikai—a global tournament unlike anything they had done before. Now, in part 2, the gang has officially begun to compete, but things have gone far from smoothly. Disaster came to a head whenJohnny and Miguel got word that Carmen had been taken to the hospital after facing complications in her pregnancy. They immediately got on a plane to California, but it wasn’t long before they were back in Barcelona again.

Corba Kai Didn’t Even Try To Make This Travel Schedule Make Sense

After what must have been about a 15-hour flight from Barcelona, Spain, to the San Fernando Valley in California,Johnny and Miguellearned that Carmen and the baby were doing A-Okay, and at the pregnant woman’s urging, they flew back to Barcelona to resume the Sekai Taikai. The additional 15-hour flight seemed to have no impact on the duo at all, and they jumped right back into the tournament without missing a beat. Since they left after one event and returned in time for the next, they somehow squeezed over 30 hours of travel in a 24-hour period. Sorry,Cobra Kai, but absolutely not.

How Long Is The Sekai Taikai, And How Are They Fully Rested After Everything That’s Happened?

The Sekai Taikai Schedule Has Been Purposely Ambiguous

Johnny and Miguel’s impossible travel schedule aside, thetimeline forCobra Kaiseason 6 is already pretty outrageous. The Sekai Taikai is a massive tournament comprising several events over a period of days. The Netflix series has remained ambiguous about just how much time has actually gone by, but for all that has happened inCobra Kaiseason 6—between Daniel being kidnapped, a handful of highly demanding karate events, Johnny and Miguel traveling the globe, and nights out on the town—it would have to be weeks for these characters to have gotten enough time to recover from each disaster.

Ultimately, Cobra Kai embracing its own ridiculousness allows it to get away with just about anything.

With everything that’s happened and the minimal amount of time that everyone has had to rest and recover, it’s amazing that Daniel, Johnny, Miguel, and the rest were able to perform so well during the final big brawl of the Sekai Taikai. Of course, an organized karate tournament suddenly turning into a deadly battle after the administrator gets KO’d is pretty outrageous, too. On that note, any of these minimally experienced teenagers qualifying for a global karate tournament against two escaped felons is already pretty unbelievable. Ultimately,Cobra Kaiembracing its own ridiculousness allows it to get away with just about anything.

Cobra Kaiseason 6, part 3, will release on Netflix on August 20, 2025.
