“They sat me between Carrie [Fisher] and Harrison [Ford], and it was nerve-racking,” Ridley says, “but everyone was so lovely.” Still, despite everyone’s kindness towards her, Ridley still believes this table read was far from her best effort. “The read-through went by in a blur, andI think I was terrible.No, really!” She even says that Abrams pulled her aside afterward and offered to talk through everything with her personally. “They probably thought, What have we done?',” Ridley jokes, “but it was too late!”
