Fans of the game have been criticizing her awkward appearance in the game since she was revealed, stating that she veersdangerously close to the uncanny valley.
Reddit usermellypepper5posted a year ago that Disney “did Belle dirty,” pointing out that “her shoulders and claw hands are the stuff of nightmares” and stating that Belle’s shoulders “look backward.” Other players compared pre-update Belle to a knockoff Barbie and an impostor. Many were upset that their favorite Disney character was the only one in the game that seemed to look “off.” Other characters, includingthe recently added Mulan, look true to their original characters from the Disney movies.
