Dragon Ball Daimahas wasted little time establishing its main villain: the newest king of the Demon Realm, Gomah. And though the mysterious magic user has seen little screen time apart from his introduction, the series has hinted at his immense power.Glorio, one ofDaima’s newest mainstay characters, sought out the help of Goku and Supreme Kai, in hopes of tracking Gomah down. However, each passing episode has shown glimpses that theremay be more to the newest party member than it seems.
At the moment, Goku and Supreme Kai are tied to Glorio, as his knowledge of the newly introduced Demon Realm is invaluable to the party. Already, he has led the pair into the Third Demon World, nearer to their goal of rescuing Dende and wishing on the Dragon Balls to return to normal. But there have beenmoments of tension between Supreme Kai and the mysterious Demon Realm resident, hinting at some secretive intention that Glorio is keeping hidden from his new acquaintances.

Glorio Has Been Helpful But Remains Mysterious
Goku and Supreme Kai Should Remain Wary of Glorio
Glorio is first seen stealthily spying on Gomah from the shadows of the First Demon World castle, before flying to Earth and revealing that he’s been tasked with defeating the Demon Realm’s newest ruler. Recruiting help from Goku and Supreme Kai, the three travel together into the Demon Realm in pursuit of their intertwined goals. However, in their very first interaction,Supreme Kai expresses some distrust toward Glorio and his motives, pausing before volunteering to come along on the journey.
While it appears that Glorio’s intent to defeat Gomah is noble and just, his motivations for doing so remain unclear, as the Demon Realm native offered only that the ruler of the Third Demon World requested his help. The truth behind this statement remains to be seen, as Supreme Kai pointed out that he wouldn’t have known theheroes were turned into childrenif that were the case. Though Glorio has been helpful to his new compatriots thus far, they cannot yet afford to take their eyes off him.

Even If Glorio Is Secretly Evil, Goku’s Influence Is Hard to Ignore
Goku Is Known to Turn His Enemies Into Allies
Supreme Kai once again paused and displayed his hesitance to put trust in Glorio duringDaima’s fourth episode. Goku, frothing at the mouth over a chance to fight the mysterious Tamigami, suggests the crew go directly after the Dragon Balls, to which Supreme Kai reminds him that Dende is currently in danger, and his rescue remains their top priority. Glorio, on the other hand,is very quick to agree to Goku’s proposal, suggesting, without specifying, that he wants a chance at the Dragon Balls as well for his own unknown reasons.
If Glorio does in fact have secret, evil motives, it’s important to remember whose presence he is currently in.Goku has a track record of turning his enemies into allies, and the two have already shared several wholesome interactions. Until his true motives for defeating Gomah are revealed, whether Glorio is good or evil remains to truly be seen. Upcoming episodes ofDragon Ball Daimapromise to expand on Goku’s newest adventure, and will surely shed more light on Glorio’s character as the story progresses.
