Our Take On Dune: Prophecy
The Best Is Yet To Come
Dune: Prophecy’s new trailer drops a lot of hints about what will happen in the rest of the season. Not only does the series promise to showthe origin of the deadly ritualthat later becomes a standard procedurethe Bene Gesserituse to turn a sister into a Reverend Mother, but it also sheds light on the centuries-old feud between House Atreides and House Harkonnen. It’s very interesting that Princess Ynez is romantically involved with an Atreides, even though their relationship remains a secret.
The trailer further teases thatthe Atreides will have a role to play in the events yet to unfold.SincePaul Atreides' timealready foretells that the Bene Gesserit will become one of the most powerful forces in the entire Empire,Dune: Prophecy’s main purpose is to fill the gap between now and then, which means thatDesmond Hart serves as a necessary means for the Bene Gesserit to turn into the organization they will be.While episode 1 only shows young Valya in the beginning, future episodes will see more from her.
