12Praise Be

Joseph Stephens, Tears of David

Tears of David is an in-universe band inThe Righteous Gemstones, with them being the band that performs at the Gemstone Salvation Center. Gemstones Ministries' in-house band has produced several songs throughout the four seasons, and of them all, “Praise Be” is probably the worst. “Praise Be” is meant to parody a generic contemporary worship song,so its blandness may mean that it is a success. There isn’t much memorable about “Praise Be,” with it simply being another song meant to flesh outThe Righteous Gemstonesuniverse. Not much attention is called to it, meaning that many viewers have forgotten it.

11So Alive

Tears of David

Another Tears of David song that is featured inThe Righteous Gemstonesis “So Alive,” with it being better than “Praise Be.” “So Alive” is more of a rock song than its predecessor, giving it a little more flavor amongThe Righteous Gemstones' many contemporary worship songs.“So Alive” is pretty good before the lyrics start around halfway through the song, with this chunk being good enough to listen to without the context ofThe Righteous Gemstones. Once “So Alive” becomes a proper Christian song, however, it becomes a lot less interesting.

The Righteous Gemstones Season 4 Repeats An Eli & Jesse Problem From Season 2

The Righteous Gemstones season 4, episode 2 is focused on Eli Gemstone’s love life, repeating a storyline from The Righteous Gemstones season 2.

10New Friends In Christ

Joseph Stephens, Dynamite Brothers

“New Friends in Christ” is another song by Tears of David, although it skews a bit more traditional than the band’s other contemporary hits. The percussive worship song feels more like what one would hear in an old-fashioned Christian worship service, with it being easy to sing along to. “New Friends in Christ” doesn’t have much of an impact onthe plot ofThe Righteous Gemstones, and it doesn’t involve any of the main characters. However, its inclusion does help to make the world of Gemstone Ministries feel a lot more lived-in.

9Toodles Til Tomorrow

Aimee-Leigh Gemstone

The first song on this list not performed by Tears of David is “Toodles til Tomorrow,” which is sung by the late Aimee-Leigh Gemstone.Aimee-Leigh is the wife of Eli Gemstone, and while she is featured inThe Righteous Gemstones' “Interlude” episodes, she tragically passed away sometime before the events of the show.Aimee-Leigh is famous for her original songs in the universe ofThe Righteous Gemstones, but “Toodles til Tomorrow” is unfortunately the least interesting. The song seems to be what closed out Eli Gemstones' television program, with it not being much more than an outro song.

8Judy

Joseph Stephens

The Righteous Gemstonesseason 3 introduced the world to “Judy,” a love song about Judy Gemstone. This is one of the rare non-religious original songs seen inThe Righteous Gemstones, with it being all about the kind of person that Judy Gemstone is. Despite not being religious in its text, it does have several religious allusions, making it a bit smarter than some of the other songs inThe Righteous Gemstones. “Judy” is also catchy, giving fans ofThe Righteous Gemstonesanother reason to love it.

7Sassy On Sunday

“Sassy on Sunday” is one of Aimee-Leigh Gemstones' signature songs inThe Righteous Gemstones, and it is one of her better ones too. Aimee-Leigh is famous for her music, and while she rose to popularity as a child Christian singer, she continued her career well into her adulthood. “Sassy on Sunday” is one of her later songs, with her singing about how much she anticipates Sunday church services throughout the week. The clever song feels like the type of real-world song that it is attempting to parody, although it is catchy enough to be enjoyed on its own merits.

Why Eli Isn’t Running The Church Anymore In The Righteous Gemstones Season 4

Eli Gemstone is no longer in charge of Gemstone Ministries in The Righteous Gemstones season 4, and here’s why and what he’s up to now.

6The Aimee-Leigh Birthday Give-A-Thon Song

Baby Billy Freeman

The Righteous Gemstonesseason 4, episode 2 finally reintroduces audiences tothe main cast ofThe Righteous Gemstonesafter the season 4 premiere’s flashback storyline. The episode kicks off with the Gemstones rehearsing for the Aimee-Leigh Gemstone Birthday Give-a-Thon, and the celebration features a new song performed by Baby Billy Freeman. The hilarious song introduces Jesse, Judy, and Kelvinwhile also giving room for the rest of the extended Gemstone family to dance.

5Gemstones Theme

The “Gemstones Theme” is a commonly recurring song throughoutThe Righteous Gemstones, with it being integral to Gemstone Ministries. Multiple versions of “Gemstones Theme” can be heard during the show, with it starting out as the theme song to Eli and Aimee-Leigh’s TV show in the 1980s. A contemporary version of “Gemstones Theme” can also be heard inThe Righteous Gemstones, showing that it has remained part of the organization since its inception.Bits of worldbuilding like this are what make the show’s multi-generation storylines great, and it wouldn’t work without this song.

4Hallelujah By And By

Judy Gemstone

Judy Gemstone continues the legacy of her mother by being the musical member of the modern Gemstone trio, meaning that she has an original song of her own. “Hallelujah By and By” is a great addition to Judy Gemstone’s character, and it also works as an original Christian song. Although the song may seem like the many other Christian songs seen inThe Righteous Gemstones, it is a big step forward for Judy, giving it thematic significance.

3Home At Christmastime

Aimee-Leigh Gemstone, Baby Billy Freeman

When Aimee-Leigh Gemstone andBaby Billy Freemansing together, magic is sure to happen. This can be seen in “Home at Christmastime,” a holiday-themed song from the musical duo. The song simply talks about Aimee-Leigh and Baby Billy’s Christmas experiences, with them each singing anecdotes from their life. “Home at Christmastime” feels like an actual Christmas song, with it being one of the best thatThe Righteous Gemstoneshas to offer.
