“It was just a whirlwind. Processing the information of, ‘Oh, I’m a part of this incredible story, I’ve got this amazing character that I love, I’ve got these just incredible castmates.’ Being back home in Sydney, I was a house painter before this, in between jobs, painting houses from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. And then, next job I’m on, I’m working with Jake Lacy from The Office, a show I absolutely love. I’ve watched every season eight times. And then I get to work with him, and work with Sam, and Annette, and Essie, and Alison. It was mind-boggling, but they were so supportive. From day one, they welcomed me with open arms. It was just an absolute blessing, I thank my lucky stars.”

Apples Never Fall Season 2 Already Has A Story (But It Wouldn’t Be The Same)
Apples Never Fall already has the perfect story for season 2, but this direction would lack one strength that made season 1 compelling.
He now splits his time between Los Angeles and Melbourne as he continues to pursue his acting career.Turner says that he is drawn in by narratives that are slowly revealedand believes there’s an art and beauty to patient storytelling, but he isn’t picky either. Apples Never Fall Is Conor Merrigan Turner’s First Major Role
Turner Has Appeared In A Handful Of TV Shows And Shorts
Apples Never Fallis undeniably Conor Merrigan Turner’s most notable role, and he appeared in every episode of the season. However, he did have one other semi-significant performance in the Netflix miniseries,Thai Cave Rescue, based on the real-life retrieval of 12 boys and their soccer coach who were trapped for two weeks in a flooding cave in Thailand. Turner plays Luke Cole in the series, one of the soldiers sent to rescue the boys. While the show was not a big hit, it was a rewarding experience for Turner, who compared it toApples Never Fall,
“Apples Never Fall provided ample time to explore a fully fleshed-out character and delve into their personal journey took place amidst crises. In contrast, my role in ‘Thai Cave Rescue” as Luke Cole, based on real-life Special Tactics Officer Mitch Torrel, involved a more rudimentary portrayal with a focus on military tactics and analysis. The work environment also contrasted significantly, as “Thai Cave Rescue” was shot in Thailand, embracing the country’s cultural customs and involving the local community in the production was such an eye-opening experience, I was just so thankful to have been a part of it.”

Beyond those two series, Conor has had a handful of other performances. He plays Ethan Hodge in four episodes ofTerritory, an Australian neo-Western about a family who has owned a cattle station for generations. Ethan is the nephew of the series star, Emily Lawson (Anna Torv). He also plays Todd Reinhardt in three episodes ofHome and Away, an Australian soap opera. The rest of his filmography includes short film roles.
He plays Myles inPeanut, which follows a young girl coming to terms with the pregnancy she chose to terminate. InShattered, a film that follows a woman’s quest to rescue her brother from alcoholism and the criminal underworld, he plays Blake. Then he plays Chris Williams inMax, which follows a young boy who decides to stand up for himself after acquiring a shotgun.

Conor Merrigan Turner’s Thoughts About Apples Never Fall
Logan Delaney Has One Of The Stronger Character Arcs In The Show
Conor Merrigan Turner’s role as Logan inApples Never Fallis a complex one, as are the roles for just about anyone in the thought-provoking drama. The younger of the two brothers,Logan’s life has been defined by a lack of ambition. He spends his days on a houseboat, despite being an exceptional tennis player, and managing a marina for someone else. It’s a fine life, but it’s never been what he was fully capable of. When the Delaney Tennis Academy is up for purchase, Logan is the perfect person to make the buy.
It’s a role that requires Turner to be relatable, but the audience also has to want more from him.
However, his girlfriend, Indira (Pooja Shah), wants him to move to Seattle, and he becomes frozen by the two opposing choices. It’s a role that requires Turner to be relatable, but the audience also has to want more from him. He’s lazy and avoiding the bigger questions in his life, but at the same time, Turner has to make sure Logan isn’t too much of a drag, lest everyone start disliking him. It’s a careful balancing act that Turner handles well. About the character and his relationship to his older brother Troy (Jake Lacy), Turner said,
“It was so nice to have that brotherly dynamic, where you are clashing. At the beginning, that is how we sort of interact together, it’s just a clashing of two polar opposites. And I love being able to — I won’t give anything away — go through the journey of rediscovering your brother, and seeing the importance of him again in your life. I loved playing that, and I love playing that with Jake, and being able to really have a tennis match with one another in some of our scenes together. It’s great.”
Logan’s transformation over the course ofApples Never Fallis one of the more interesting arcs in the series. Turner gives Logan a well of emotional depth that he slowly brings to the surface. You think that the character has a surface-level interest in just about everything, butTurner reveals that Logan cares much more than he ever wants to let on.
