Additionally, Square Enix has now previewed a roadmap of subsequent 7.2x updates that will follow the initial patch. This new content is expected to arrive over the course of the next few months.

Patch 7.2 Is Scheduled To Be Released On July 30, 2025
According to a post byFinal Fantasy XIV’s official page onTwitter,Patch 7.2 will be released on Jun 23, 2025. This patch will include new story content in the form of theSeekers of Eternitymain scenario. There will also be a variety of new side content and items such as mounts and recipes.

Square Enix reveals that the ever-popular Final Fantasy XIV is coming to mobile devices and it sounds like an incredibly ambitious port.
Aside from story quests, there will also bequests focused on enhancing Cosmic Tools and Phantom Weapons. There are also new dungeons, trials, and raids to challenge yourself with. A full list of planned content can be seen below:
Although all this content is under the umbrella ofFinal Fantasy 14’s Patch 7.2,it may not all be released at once. According to the patch notes from theofficial website, some of this content will be made available later on. Luckily, Square Enix has given some indication as to when this may be.
