Will Sheriff Country Prove To Be a Hit For CBS?

Though The Show Has Not Yet Released, Hopes Will Be High

It should bode well for the potential long-term success ofSheriff County, with an existing formula already in place, and the ability to tell fresh, unique, and exciting stories. Focusing on police officers as opposed to firefightersallows the show to adopt the format of a police proceduralwhile set against an expansive rural backdrop, making it more unique than the typical city-based procedurals, such asThe Rookie,Law & Order, andBlue Bloods.Sheriff Countrywould be expected to be a success for CBS, and would likely run alongside its sister show.

Our Thoughts On The Creative Direction OfSheriff Country

Thieriot Could Pivot & Divert His Attention To The Spinoff Show

Thieriot, who grew up in Sonoma County, brought his personal experiences toFire Countryand could implement a similar creative vision forSheriff Country. WhileFire Countryprepares for the season 3 return, I would expect his near-decade-long relationship with CBS to afford him creative freedom to experiment with the spinoff. Whether he will appear on the show as Bode is unclear, but the fact the shows take place in the same universe means crossovers are almost a certainty. I believeSheriff Countrywill seek to be an expansive police drama, using its stunning Vancouver landscape, and sourcing strong actors from its sister show.
