Any time a new character walks through the armoire,the root cellar might show them a different death in the town’s history, which could connect to their own journeys there. Whoever was crushed by the boulder could be connected to thesymbol that Jade often sees inFrom, and the show has revealed that the dead man in season 3, episode 7 links to the Kimono Woman.
Jade seemingly only told Kenny about the body he found in the root cellar, and it’s unclear whether Elgin will share his finding with others in town.
At one point, the ballerina from the music box monster emerged from the root cellar and appeared to Boyd, soit’s seemingly a location that harbors various supernatural entities in town. It also doesn’t appear to be a coincidence that this was the one placeFrom’s character Christopherdidn’t know about when Victor was a child.
