You should farm Citlali’s materials inGenshin Impactto ensure you adequately Ascend her and level up her Talents before you start working on her build, thus optimizing the character as a support unit for your team comps.Citlali is a Cryo character introduced with Version 5.3, the same patch that brought forth Mavuika as a playable character in HoYoverse’s action RPG. While Mavuika is a damage dealer, split between operating as a DPS and a sub-DPS,Citlali’s kit inGenshin Impactsees her working as a support capable of providing shields for her party members.

Even though Citlali’s main role in team comps is to protect her allies from incoming damage with her shield,Citlali can also contribute to the team’s damage output and help apply Cryo on enemies, thus facilitating Cryo-related Elemental Reactions, such as Freeze, Melt, Superconduct, and Swirl. With Cryo being somewhat absent from the game for a while, as reflected by theleakedGenshin Impact5.3 banners, Citlali should be a solid new addition to the element and make it more relevant than in prior months, but before she is put to good use, you need to farm Citlali’s materials.

Ascension Materials To Farm For Citlali In Genshin Impact

Only One Material Isn’t Available For Pre-Farming Prior To Her Release

Because she’s a Cryo character, the first set of materials you can comfortably farm for Citlali is the Shivada Jade stones.Shivada Jade Slivers, Fragments, Chunks, and Gemstones are best farmed from Cryo-related bosses in the game. This includes opponents like the Cryo Hypostasis, Maguu Kenki, Lupus Boreas, La Signora, Childe, and the upcoming Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker. Among these, it’s recommended that you farm from the newWayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker boss inGenshin Impact5.3because they drop yet another Ascension material for Citlali. Lower-grade Shivada Jade stones can be crafted into rarer ones via the Alchemy Table.

The table below lists all the Ascension materials for Citlali, as perHoney Hunter World(the list is based on leaks and, as such, is subject to change ahead of the character’s release):

While you can certainly gather Shivada Jade stones from any of the aforementioned bosses, it is best to farm them from the new world boss in Version 5.3. This is because the Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker also drops Talisman of the Enigmatic Land. This item is one of the materials for Citlali’s Ascension, based on the leaks. You’ll need 46 copies of Talisman of the Enigmatic Land, which means you’ll need to challenge the boss multiple times. When you do so, you are bound to coincidentally farm Shivada Jade stones for Citlali’s Ascension inGenshin Impact, thus concentrating your efforts.

Genshin Impact’s Yelan holds a present in her hand and smiles.

The next set of materials used by Citlali, according to the leaks, is composed of Juvenile Fang, Seasoned Fang, and Tyrant’s Fang. These Natlan Fang materials drop from Saurian enemies all across the Nation of Pyro. They are easy to collect, but you’ll also need them for Citlali’s Talents, so be sure to farm a large amount when following routes. You can use the interactive map onHoYoLABto filter the location ofNatlan Saurians inGenshin Impactand establish some farming routes to better farm the Fang materials for Citlali.

Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks: Mavuika’s Signature Weapon May Be The Best Claymore Yet

The 5-star weapon that belongs to Mavuika in Genshin Impact 5.3 has leaked and it may be the very best claymore for damage dealers in the game.

The final Ascension material listed for Citlali on Honey Hunter World is a Local Specialty called Quenepa Berry, which spawns around Coatepec Mountain and under the Scions of the Canopy tribe.Like most Local Specialties, Quenepa Berries have limited nodes on the map compared to how much a character requires for a complete Ascension and they only respawn every 48 hours. As such, it’s best if you use theQuenepa Berry farming route inGenshin Impactto ensure you obtain everything and don’t have to repeat the farming effort more times than necessary.

In addition to the materials, Citlali’s Ascension process also consumes a lot of Mora. In total, you should ready yourself to spend 420,000 Mora to unlock each of the level thresholds plus an additional 1,673,400 Mora if Citlali is leveled up with Character EXP Materials. If you need extra Mora (and you might since the Talent-leveling process is expensive), you should farm more by challenging Blossom of Wealth activities within Natlan.

By doing so, you may encounter Saurian enemies and, as such, grab some extra Fang materials for Citlali inGenshin Impactin the process.

Talent Materials To Farm For Citlali In Genshin Impact

All Items Could Be Pre-Farmed

As was mentioned, the Fang materials dropped from Saurian enemies are also consumed when leveling up Citlali’s Talents, but at a much higher rate. Aside from farming, you may purchase some from Paimon’s Bargains, too. Don’t forget to use the Alchemy Table to transform lower-grade Fangs into rarer ones as the need for Citlali’s Talents increases. In addition to these,Citlali’s materials also include the Kindling Talent books, which can be farmed from the Blazing Ruins Domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. A large quantity of these books is needed so you’ll likely challenge this Domain multiple times over weeks.

The table below lists all the Talent materials for Citlali inGenshin Impact, as registered by Honey Hunter World:

Denial and Judgment

Mora

The next Talent material cited in the list is Denial and Judgment. This is a weekly boss material dropped by beating the Knave boss. The boss can drop three types of Talent materials and Denial and Judgment is not guaranteed. If you don’t drop it, you can use the other materials and a Dream Solvent at the Alchemy Table to create Denial and Judgment. Given the limitation on weekly boss challenges such as theKnave inGenshin Impact, it may take you a few weeks to gather all that is needed for Citlali’s Talents.

The final Talent material for Citlali, as is the case with any other character in the game, is Crown of Insight.A total of three Crowns of Insight will be needed, one for each of the upgradable Talents– these are consumed when taking the abilities to the maximum level. Crown of Insight can be obtained from some limited-time events, as well as reputation systems inGenshin Impact. You can also purchase one Crown of Insight per month in Paimon’s Bargains.

Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks Show Building Characters Is Getting Much Easier

A series of quality-of-life updates and system optimizations have been leaked for Genshin Impact 5.3, hinting at an easier time building characters.

The entire Talent-leveling process will be very expensive, costing up to nearly five million Mora if you level up all three of Citlali’s Talents to the maximum level. As always, you can farm more Mora at Blossom of Wealth activities. Overall, farming the materials for Citlali is a straightforward task, even if a time-consuming one. Luckily, you can optimize some farming efforts, such as combining the Shivada Jade stones and the Talisman of the Enigmatic Land or gathering more Mora as you farm Fangs. Once Citlali is at level 90, you can start working on her build inGenshin Impact.
