Sony reaffirmed thatGhost of Yoteiwill be coming out sometime this year, and some new information from a reputable leaker may indicate the game is much closer to release than previously thought.Ghost of Yoteihas been said to release sometime in 2025 since its announcement, but now we may have a more concrete release window — and it may be the best time for Sony to release the PlayStation 5 game, should this reported leak be true.
A leaker calledDetective Seedssaid on X thatGhost of Yoteiis allegedly releasing this summer, either in mid-late July or August. The leaker said their two sources disagree on exactly when, saying that one source claims it is coming in mid to late August and the other source (who has been “spot on with info,” the leaker claims) says mid to late July. Based on that information, the leaker guessed that the game will launch “somewhere in the middle” of those two ranges, but obviously, no official details about the release date are out yet.

The reliability of this leak is up for debate, as all leaks should be given their due skepticism, butDetective Seeds has a pretty solid track record for reliable information. Earlier this month, the leaker revealed thatDOOM: The Dark Agespreview and hands-on coverage would be released on March 31, and that was later proven true by the officialDOOMsocial media accounts on March 30.
