InDragon Balland Marvel Comics,GokuandVegetaandDeadpoolandWolverineare a quartet of peas in multiple dysfunctional pods, complementing each other in a fight but not always seeing eye to eye in other matters. And while they will probably never meet inDragon Ballor Marvel continuity, new fanart has transformed Goku and Vegeta intoDeadpool and Wolverine, bringing these two seasoned Z-Warriors into Marvel’s multiverse!
A glorious crossover image shared on Instagram by Salva (@salvamakoto), this artistic talent is no stranger to creating unique “What If?” images that bring together characters from disparate fictional worlds who would never normally cross paths in an official capacity.

Having previously sketched art featuring Goku crossing over into DC Comics to meet Superman,Goku sharing some pizza withTMNT’s Michelangeloin his sewer abode, and even Goku reaching the fabled heights of Super Saiyan 5,Salva also mixes and matches other non-Dragon Ballheroes and villains together, all to incredibly stunning results.

Crossing over with DC Comics,Predator,Aliens, and evenAll Might fromMy Hero Academia, Deadpool and Wolverine have a history of traversing their multiverse and those of entirely different realities. Technically multiversal travelers themselves (as seen inDragon Ball Super), Goku and Vegeta traveling between universes is a far rarer occurrence — Goku teaming up with Luffy fromOne Piecebeing one example — but is something that might become more frequent consideringTMNTandNarutoare on the verge of giving fans a comic team-up no one thought possible, opening the door to more unexpected anime/comic crossovers.
First giving the Prince of all Saiyans the X-Men treatment,Salva draws a bloody and battered Vegeta as he takes a breather while sporting a comic-accurate yellow and blue Wolverine costume. Keeping his claws popped while he does, Vegeta’s Marvel makeover is followed up byGoku dressing as Deadpool, with the character’s red and black suit, sheathed katana, and inexplicably smoking thumb, nailing the Merc with a Mouth’s deranged demeanor. Not to be outdone, Deadpool shows up in the final post, complete with a fourth-wall-breaking exclamation on his face as he fan-girls out over seeing this iconicDragon Ballpair.

Finally, in the third post’s last image,Salva treats fans to a sketch of Logan smiling wide whiledressed in Saiyan armor, bringing this crossover full circle in a way that begs for Salva to create a new series of art featuring Marvel heroes turning into popularDragon Ballwarriors instead. It remains to be seen if Salva (@salvamakoto) will find a way to make this last idea a reality, yet as it stands, thisGokuandVegetaxDeadpoolandWolverinecrossover is an incredibly inspired and unique set of fanart images that deserve to be further explored!

Dragon Ball
From the creative mind of Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball is a mega multimedia franchise that spans back to the 1980s. Dragon Ball expanded quickly, starting as a serialized manga for Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan. It made its way overseas via manga and an anime adaptation that is enjoyed worldwide. Dragon Ball was the initial starting animated series that followed the adventures of the young Son Goku as he sought after the Dragon Balls. These mystical orbs would grant the wish of any who gathered them together. Then, the series would branch off into the immensely popular Dragon Ball Z, which followed Goku as an adult and featured high-intensity battles and Goku’s never-ending search to be the strongest. The series has also enjoyed several popular video game adaptations and continues to release several new animated series and theatrical films up to the recent popular Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
Deadpool
The merc with the mouth first appeared in an issue ofNew Mutantsin 1990, and since then has gone on to get his own series and a massive cult following. With his incredible powers of healing and regeneration, Deadpool was initially depicted as an X-Men villain but went on to become an anti-hero. After getting his own movie series starting in 2016, the third Deadpool movie finally brings the wisecracking, fourth-wall-breaking character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Wolverine
The human mutant Wolverine (a.k.a. Logan) was born James Howlett, blessed with a superhuman healing factor, senses, and physiology. Subjecting himself to experimentation to augment his skeleton and claws with adamantium, Logan is as deadly as he is reckless, impulsive, and short-tempered. Making him the X-Men’s wildest and deadliest member, and one of Marvel Comics' biggest stars. He’s played in Fox and Marvel’s movie franchises by Hugh Jackman.
