Del Toro’s Version Of The Story Will Be Stylized
Though only a single first-look image was revealed, there is a lot that can be gleaned from this look at del Toro’sFrankensteinfilm. For one,the film is likely to have a bold and stylized color palette, as even the first look shows dramatic gold and green tones. This kind of visual language is characteristic ofdel Toro’s films, as works such asNightmare AlleyandThe Shape of Waterare also distinctive in their set design and color grading. The lighting ofFrankensteinwill also contribute to its color effects, as at least this image suggests the lab will have a lot of natural light, or at least the illusion of such illumination.
