The review scores forMonster Hunter Wildsare finally in following the end of the embargo.Wildsis the newest installment in developer Capcom’s popular monster-hunting series, preceded by titles such asMonster Hunter Rise(2021) andMonster Hunter World(2018). The upcoming entry is set in a new map area called The Forbidden Lands, composed of various biomes that extend from harsh plains to a blooming jungle, and from scorching caverns to freezing chambers. With the end of the embargo and the publication of the reviews forWilds, the new title can now be compared to some of its predecessors, mainlyMonster Hunter RiseandMonster Hunter World, both of which follow the same action-led monster-hunter gameplay style and character progression. Titles likeMonster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin(2021), which is a spin-off turn-based RPG, were left out of the comparison withWilds. At the time of writing, the critic score forMonster Hunter WildsonMetacriticstands at 89 (out of 100), with 54 reviews.
