Stonjourner is the latest region-exclusive Pokémon to arrive inPokémon GO, meaning you may only find it if you’re playing the mobile game in a specific location in the real world. This Rock-type creature is arriving as part of the Max Out season, which features new Pokémon from the Galar region as well as the long-awaited debut of Dynamax Battles, making it a pretty stacked season for Trainers to get involved with.
While other Galar-region creatures like theGrass-type Grookeyare going to be relatively easy to find in the wild, Stonjourner could prove troublesome to get. If you know the location thatPokémon Scarlet & Violet’s Galar region is based on, you might already be able to figure out how to get Stonjourner. But just in case it hasn’t clicked yet, read on to find out how you can encounter this regional-exclusive creature inPokémon GO.

How To Get Stonjourner In Pokémon GO
There’s Only One Place This Rocky Creature Will Spawn
Stonjourner will spawn in the wild inPokémon GO, but it canonly be encountered within the United Kingdom. As a reminder, that includes England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. If you live outside of the United Kingdom, you’ll either need to travel overseas to encounter a Stonjourner or find a friend who’s willing to trade one with you, which could be quite tricky.
Stonjourner’s design isinspired by the famous landmark Stonehenge, which can be found in the English county of Wiltshire. This explains why Stonjourner is only available to encounter in the United Kingdom inPokémon GO.

The good news is that, in the past, someregion-exclusive Pokémonhave appeared worldwide for a limited time to celebrate special events, such as Corsola, Durant, Heatmore, and Maractus spawning globally during thePokémon GOFest 2024 event. It’s likely that this will happen at some point in the future for Stonjourner, too, although there’s no telling when that could be.
Can Stonjourner Be Shiny In Pokémon GO?
Not Yet, But Probably In The Future
The bad news is thatShiny Stonjourner is currently unavailable inPokémon GO, so you’ll have to make do with a regular Stonjourner for now. Niantic usually saves theserare Shiny variantsfor future events, which can sometimes be years after the regular version of a Pokémon has arrived in the game. In the meantime, you can see what Shiny Stonjourner will look like in the image above.
With Stonjourner added to the Pokedex, there are now several Galar-region Pokémon that can be caught inPokémon GO, including the starter trio Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble, as well as the Dragon/Ghost-type Dreepy.
