It’s been 3 years sinceYellowjacketsstar Sophie Thatcher made herStar Warsdebut inThe Book of Boba Fett, and despite the reception the show and her role in it received, she’s ready to make a return. The Mandalorianspin-off series following Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett ultimately earned mixed reviews, and one of its most controversial elements focused on a group of young bikers named the Mods. Led by Drash, Thatcher’s character, this group, named for their droid modifications, were heavily criticized for bringing their bright-colored bike aesthetic toStar Wars’iconic ruggedness - but that hasn’t deterred Thatcher.
Speaking toInverse, Thatcher insisted that she would make a return to theStar Warsgalaxy “in a heartbeat.“Her motivation for this is twofold; firstly, it’s because “theStar Wars universe is so vast and so dense and so interesting, and Jon Favreau made it feel very political and very timely.” Additionally, however, Thatcher wants a chance to truly unite with her formerProspectco-star, who also happens to be the Mandalorian himself: Pedro Pascal. “I haven’t seen Pedro Pascal since we worked together in Prospect,” she says, hopeful for Drash and Din Djarin to truly interact some more.

While Din Djarin and Drash do share several scenes inThe Book of Boba Fett, the pair never actually speak to one another, and Pascal wasn’t able to be physically on set for the spin-off series - which prevented the two actors from actually working with each other on this project.
What Drash’s Return Would Mean For Star Wars
A Chance For Redemption & Reunion
Bringing Drash back to theStar Warsgalaxy, amongst some of the other supportingcharacters inThe Book of Boba Fett, wouldallowStar Warsthe chance to redeem the more controversial aspects of their work on the Boba Fett spin-off series. Thatcher has proven herself to be quite an actor, having made a name for herself particularly within the horror genre, which makes any chance for her to return to theStar Warsgalaxy an advantageous one. Allowing her to cross paths withPascal’s Din Djarinwould also be a perfect hat-tip to their 2018 indie sci-fi film.
Many Of These Boba Fett Characters Deserve True Justice
From Drash & The Mods To Boba Fett Himself
Of course, Thatcher’s Drash is just one of the many characters fromThe Book of Boba Fettwho deserve proper justice - including Morrison’s Boba Fett himself. While this TV show has, thankfully, been garnering more and more love and respect from fans over the years,it’s still clear to see just how much potential was missed as this show was developed. Many of these characters didn’t get a chance to be fully developed, much of which had to do with the fact that the story pivoted midway through to accommodate for Din Djarin andThe Mandalorianseason 3 setup.
10 Ways Star Wars Can Redeem Boba Fett, After His TV Show’s Failure
Boba Fett deserved a much better show than The Book of Boba Fett, and Star Wars has several options for a satisfying continuation of his story.
Drash is an especially extreme case of underused potential, given how interesting she and the Mods really could have been if they were given more focus. Instead, they felt more like a mere asset in building up Boba Fett’s army for the Battle ofMos Espa. It would have been extremely meaningful to see more of the connection between Boba Fett and the Mods, as the latter became highly dedicated to the former, beyond simple payment via credits. IfThe Book of Boba Fettgets any kind of chance for expanded storytelling, these characters will hopefully receive their proper justice.
