This brilliantStar Warstheory suggests the upcoming season 2 ofAhsokacould see Ahsoka Tano completely changing the Jedi code.Ahsokaseason 2 is one of only two confirmedupcomingStar Warsshows, along withAndorseason 2, which means there will certainly be a lot of pressure on the show to get things right. Luckily, theAhsokaseason 1 endingleft the door open for a number of incredible stories.

Ahsokasaw the return of the titular main character Ahsoka Tano and the live-action debut of belovedStar Wars Rebelscharacters Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, Hera Syndulla, and evenGrand Admiral Thrawn. The show also introduced brand-new characters Shin Hati and her master, Baylan Skoll. In addition to a host of fantastic characters,Ahsokashockingly revealed that Ahsoka had previously been training Sabine Wren as her Jedi Padawan. This surprising twist, and the current status of one otherAhsokacharacter, could mean Ahsoka is about to radically change the Jedi.

Star Wars Fans Are Desperate To See Shin’s Redemption

Although Shin was one of few newcomers inAhsokaseason 1, she ended up becoming a fan-favorite character on the show. This was in part due to her compelling arc with her master, Baylan Skoll, which revealed that the two were neither Jedi nor Sith but instead were more in keeping with ‘Dark Jedi.’ Even on her own, though, Shin was a hit with audiences, who found her both powerful and intriguing.

Perhaps for this reason, many are hoping to see a redemption arc for Shin inAhsokaseason 2. While she isn’t a Sith, she also isn’t on the light side of the Force. She’s plenty compelling as a villain, but this also comes down to the direction her story arc took in season 1. By the end of season 1, Baylan had abandoned Shin on Peridea, going off seemingly to findthe Mortis Gods.

This means that Ahsoka, Sabine, and Shin are all currently on Peridea together, and Shin is without a master. Sadly, it may also be safe to assume that Shin will not be reunited with her master, as the actor who played Baylan Skoll, Ray Stevenson, tragically passed away after filming forAhsokawrapped. In light of this, speculation has grown that Ahsoka and Sabine may encounter Shin again—but it may not end in a ruthless battle. Instead, this theory suggestsAhsoka could end up training not only Sabine Wren but Shin Hati as well.

Ahsoka Knows The Flaws With The Jedi Code

Ahsoka’s History With The Jedi Perfectly Positions Her To Make This Change

Ahsoka electing to train Shin Hati would defy the Jedi code dictating that one Jedi Master train one Jedi Padawan, which would massively alter the Jedi way. While that might seem out of the question,Ahsoka Tano is the perfect Jedi to change a rule such as this one.Ahsoka’sStar Warstimelinehas been far from easy, and that dates all the way back to her time inStar Wars: The Clone Wars.

Ahsoka’s complicated feelings about the notion that she is a Jedi began with her departure from the Jedi Order and the event that caused her to leave. When Ahsoka was still just a Padawan, she was falsely accused of murder and forced to stand trial. Rather than trust in Ahsoka, as someone the Jedi had known since she was a small child and who had long upheld the Jedi way, the Jedi Council cast Ahsoka aside, kicking her out of the Order and turning her over to the Republic Senate.

This very nearly resulted in Ahsoka being put to death, and it’s therefore little surprise that Ahsoka elected to walk away from the Jedi even after they invited her back when her name was finally cleared. While traumatic, this experience makes Ahsoka perfectly primed to break with the Jedi code and train Sabine and Shin at the same time. Ahsoka, perhaps more than any other Jedi still alive during this era, understands the limitations of the Jedi and how their strict codes and rigid thinking ultimately did them harm.

Will Ahsoka Decide To Train BOTH Shin & Sabine?

Ahsoka Could Completely Change The Jedi Code… And It Just Might Work

It remains to be seen whether Ahsoka will take up training both Sabine and Shin at once, but it would be incredible if that was the directionAhsokaseason 2 took. For one, it would simply be exciting to see a Jedi deviate so significantly from the norms of the Jedi. On the other hand,Shin and Sabine have already proven to be brilliant adversaries, and seeing them work together would be that much better.

The current predicament Shin, Sabine, and Ahsoka all find themselves in, trapped on Peridea and unsure of what comes next, would also make this a logical next step in the story. This possibility, while a surprising one, would offer audiences the Shin Hati redemption they are hoping to see and would mean something truly innovative for the Jedi. While it may be difficult to imagine now, it would be thrilling to see Ahsoka Tano break withStar Wars’long-held Jedi code and train both Shin Hati and Sabine Wren at the same time inAhsokaseason 2.
