Warning: SPOILERS ahead forJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 3Jurassic World: Chaos Theoryhas introduced and developed some of the best characters in the entire history of theJurassicfranchise. With its ensemble cast and variety of settings across the globe, Netflix’s animated show goes further with character development than any of theJurassicmovies have been able to. In fairness, six of the show’s best characters are inherited from a previous series,Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, which is aimed specifically at younger viewers. Now that the Nublar Six are all grown up, however, their past experiences and adult personalities make even more compelling characters.

What’s more,Chaos Theoryfeatures outstanding supporting characters, some of whom have directconnections withJurassic World Dominionand other movies. Others are brand-new characters created specifically for the show, including arguably theJurassicfranchise’s greatest villain. WhileJurassic World: Chaos Theoryhas its share of both scary and sweetdinosaurs, the series allows room for each of its human characters to reveal their complexity and depth in ways that theJurassicmovies simply can’t. Dinosaurs like Bumpy, Smoothie and the Pyroraptor are still stars in their own right, but it’s the people who really makeChaos Theorywork.

Jurassic World Nonna

10Gia

Season 3

A new addition forJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 3, Ben Pincus’ girlfriend Gia absolutely has to return in future seasons. Her strength and generosity bring out a different, more mature side to Ben, yet at the same time she isn’t just a sideshow who happens to be dating one of the show’s protagonists.

Gia has her own relatable story, about not being able to share her passion for dinosaurs with her family. The way she goes about addressing this problem with her grandmother, Nonna, demonstrates her strength of character, and shows that she’s someoneChaos Theoryneeds for more than just a half-season cameo.

Jurassic World Chaos Theory Season 2 4

9Ben Pincus

Seasons 1-3

As much as Ben is lucky to have Gia, there’s plenty to love about him as a character, too.The funniest member of the Nublar Six, Ben may be a little naive and careless at times, but he always means well, and his awkward moments somehow end up making him more lovable. Moreover, he has some serious courage when it counts, particularly when his favorite Ankylosaurus, Bumpy, is involved.

Every Season Of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous & Chaos Theory, Ranked

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory are thrilling additions to the Jurassic Park franchise, and these are their best seasons.

Like all the maincharacters inJurassic World: Chaos Theory, Ben has many sides to him, some of which reflect the world outside the series. His obsession with conspiracy theories is a topical character development that didn’t exist during his stint inJurassic World Camp Cretaceous, and his secret knowledge about Brooklynn’s survival understandably tests his friendship with Kenji to its limits. On the other hand, it’s hard not to love Ben’s best-foot-forward approach to life and somewhat goofy demeanor.

8Yasmina “Yaz” Fadoula

Yaz Fadoula’s story of dinosaur-related PTSD and her relationship with Sammy Gutierrez already made hera standout character in season 1 ofJurassic World: Chaos Theory. However, by season 3, Yaz has become even more than a survivor of her dinosaur experiences, who provides one of theJurassicfranchise’s best romance stories. She’s a fully-fledged hero who serves as the Nublar Six’s main moral compass.

Yaz Fadoula first appeared as a character in theJurassicfranchise’s first animated show,Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, alongside the rest of the Nublar Six.

Jurassic World Chaos Theory Death Civilians 3

It’s Yaz who convinces the rest of the group to trust Brooklynn when it seems they have every reason not to. She also takes a lead in saving the people of Malta’s capital Valletta alongside Darius, as the two of them use flares to lead predatory dinosaurs away from the city streets. Her relationship with Sammy may have ended, but it’s probably for the best in terms of Yaz’s character development, as she continues to grow into her leading role in the Nublar Six.

7Nonna

Perhaps the surprise show stealer ofChaos Theory’s third season, Nonna is the no-nonsense grandmother thatJurassic Worlddidn’t even know it needed. TheChaos Theoryseason 3 character voiced by Isabella Rossellinihas been a surprise hit with fans of the show since sheltering five of the Nublar Six in her home amidst the Italian Alps.

3 Years Later, Jurassic World Makes One Of Dominion’s Coolest New Dinosaurs Even Better & Scarier

Jurassic World has brought back one of its most ferocious dinosaurs for the latest season of a Netflix animated, except now it’s even scarier.

As Gia’s main family, Nonna is initially suspicious of Ben and appears to have a deep loathing for dinosaurs. Her character’s transformation during the course of the season, andthe gumption she demonstrates in warding off a vicious Pyroraptor to save her guests’ baby dinosaur, Smoothie, are among the most satisfying elements in the show’s entire run. Nonna provides the sense of comfort and security that’s needed more than ever in the dangerous landscape ofJurassic World, both for the Nublar Six and the show’s viewers at home.

6Kenji Kon

Another member of the Nublar Six who’sgrown enormously as a character since the days ofCamp Cretaceous, Kenji’s journey between season 1 and season 3 ofJurassic World: Chaos Theoryis arguably the most compelling among everyone in the group. He’s temperamental and prone to resentment even against his friends, but the motivations for his feelings are always understandable.

Kenji wears his heart on his sleeve, and we love him even more for it.

Jurassic World Dominion Likable Characters

It’s Kenji more than any other who elevates the emotional stakes of the personal drama in the show. First, there’s his rivalry with Darius over Brooklynn’s affections and his anger over her death, for which he holds his own father responsible. Then he turns his fury against Ben due to another Brooklynn-related plot twist. Kenji wears his heart on his sleeve, and we love him even more for it. The Biosyn Valley plot thread at theend ofJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 3suggests that he’s going to be playing even more of a leading role next season, too.

5Darius Bowman

Darius Bowman isJurassic World: Chaos Theory’s original hero, the centralcharacter ofCamp Cretaceous, and the most experienced dinosaur conservationist of the Nublar Six. Maybe Darius doesn’t change as a character in the course of the series as much as its other protagonists, but he’s still the de facto leader of the Nublar Six who’s always ready for the next adventure in aid of dinosaurs.

Darius may always be the most iconic hero of the show, even if the likes of Yaz and Kenji are stepping up to take the lead alongside him.

His romantic feelings for Brooklynn are the subject of much unresolved dramafrom the first season ofChaos Theory. It could well be that we see this subplot develop further in future seasons, especially after the two of them share a touching moment at the end ofChaos Theoryseason 3. In any case, Darius may always be the most iconic hero of the show, even if the likes of Yaz and Kenji are stepping up to take the lead alongside him.

4Soyona Santos

Seasons 2-3

As with any gripping adventure series,Jurassic World: Chaos Theoryneeds a good villain or two to drive its plot forward. While some of theJurassicmovies make their dinosaurs the primary villains of the piece, inChaos Theory, the peril posed by predatory dinosaurs is typically the result of malevolent humanspulling the strings behind them.

Jurassic World Dominion: Main Characters, Ranked By Likability

Jurassic World Dominion features a sprawling cast of characters living in a world overrun with dinos, with some proving more likable than others.

Soyona Santos is one such human, who continues her role as a black market dinosaur trafficker fromJurassic World Dominionwith a sense of callous disregard for the damage and destruction she causes to people and dinosaurs alike.Santos is commonly known as The Broker inChaos Theory, and calmly goes about her business with the kind of maleficent glee that only a truly evil character would be capable of.

Nevertheless, she also has a weakness that ultimately costs her everything, as the trust and care she shows Brooklynn proves to be ill-placed. The affection she apparently has for Brooklynn at least shows that even Santos has a caring side.

3Barry Sembène

Out of all thereturning characters inJurassic World: Chaos Theory, Barry Sembène is the one who was created first. Barry was a Velociraptor trainer inJurassic World’s first live-action movie, and his connection with Owen Grady briefly brings Chris Pratt’s character intoChaos Theory. When the Nublar Six come across him, though, Sembène is an agent for the French Secret Service who gives little away about his allegiance or motives.

Barry Sembène appears in the 2015 movieJurassic Worldand 2022’sJurassic World Dominion, as well asJurassic World: Chaos Theory, and is played by Omar Sy in all three releases.

Barry Sembène’s initially ambiguous role inJurassic World: Chaos Theorymakes him one of the show’s most intriguing characters, particularly in light of his history in the live-action movies. When he appears at the start ofChaos Theoryseason 3, there’s a sense that we as the audience know more than the Nublar Six, which makes for an interesting plot dynamic as Barry’s true intentions are gradually revealed throughout the season. This dino expert-turned-secret agent adds a bit of extra glamor to the series, as well as emphasizing the seriousness of what the Nublar Six are involved in.

2Brooklynn

From the very beginning of the series,Brooklynn’sChaos Theorystoryhas been the roller coaster ride that’s propelled the rest of the Nublar Six along. First, there’s her supposed death between the jaws of a dinosaur, then the revelation of her survival to each of her friends, before she apparently switches her allegiance to Soyona Santos’ illegal dinosaur smuggling operation, abandoning the Nublar Six.

Brooklyn’s trajectory in the show has had us gripped from the start of season 1to the end ofJurassic World: Chaos Theory’s recent third season, especially because for parts of season 3 it genuinely wasn’t clear whose side she was on, including one shocking moment in its finale. As it turns out, Brooklynn is the bravest character in the whole show.

She doesn’t just display physical courage in surviving an Allosaurus attack with the loss of her forearm, but psychological strength in going undercover in Santos’ operation for an entire season. Brooklynn even outdoes Barry Sembène when it comes to intelligence work, andprovides some ofChaos Theory’s biggest twists.

1The Handler

32 years after the firstJurassic Park, theJurassicfranchise has created a human villain capable of matching almost any dinosaur for the horror she instills in viewers.Jurassic World: Chaos Theory’s Handleris utterly terrifying thanks to the way she silently commands some of the most fearsome species in history with a wide-eyed stare, small hand gestures, and a whistle.

The Handler can turn seemingly monstrous, uncontrollable 10-foot meat-eaters to putty in her hands with the slightest of effort.

The look that the Handler gives her pet Atrociraptors is spine-chilling, but so is the way she can turn seemingly monstrous, uncontrollable 10-foot meat-eaters to putty in her hands with the slightest effort. There’s something almost superhumanly evil about her, yet everything she does appears somehow plausible, which only makes it scarier. The Handler is surely the greatest villain that anyone has faced throughout theJurassicmovies and TV shows, and she’s left big shoes to fill forJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 4.
