Santos' Arrest & How It Overlaps With Jurassic World Dominion In Chaos Theory Season 3’s Ending

Brooklynn Played An Unseen But Important Role In Santos' Arrest During Jurassic World: Dominion

The arrest of Soyona Santos at the end ofJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 3 fully connects the animated show to the live-action filmsin the franchise, all while setting up an even more dangerous season 4.Soyona Santos has been the central villain ofChaos Theory, initially operating from the sidelines as the “Broker” before making her presence known. Brooklynn’s investigation into Santos has been a core element of seasons 2 and 3, with Brooklynn steadily gaining the villain’s confidence while serving as her assistant. “Morituri Te Salutant” brings this story to a head in the streets of Malta.

This coincides with the events ofJurassic World: Dominion, which also featured Santos. During that sequence of the film, Santos was eventually captured by the authorities.Chaos Theorydelves further into that largely unseen moment, revealing how crucial Brooklyn was to the arrest and exposure of Santos' crimes. This ends up being Brooklynn’s big moment in the season finale. It fits neatly into the established timeline of the previously released films and further tiesChaos Theoryand the Nublar Six to the overarching plot of the franchise, especially in light of their plans to head to Biosyn HQ afterward.

Where Are Kenji And Sammy Going In Chaos Theory Season 3’s Final Moments?

Sammy And Kenji Are Heading To Biosyn’s Secret Lab

While Darius, Ben, and Yaz venture to Malta to assist Brooklynn in her mission, Kenji and Sammy are still too angry with Brooklynn to rush to her side. The two initially elect to head back to the United States so they can reunite the baby dinosaur they dubbed Smoothie to their mother, Bumpy. However, the discovery that Bumpy has been kidnapped prompts the pair to go in search of her.The season ends with Keji, Sammy, and Smoothie arriving at the edge of the Biosyn Sanctuary, where Bumpy and other dinosaurs are being held.

The fact that the Nublar Six are all heading that way suggests that the group will get the chance to reunite in a prospective season 4 and possibly have an unseen role in the climax ofDominion.

As established inJurassic World: Dominion, the Biosyn Sanctuary was constructed by the company as a means of housing the dinosaurs that had been displaced across the world. The sanctuary was actually a cover for the company, which experimented on the animals. This was the setting for the climax ofJurassic World: Dominionbefore it was converted into a more peaceful preserve for dinosaurs. The fact that the Nublar Six are all heading that way suggests that the group will get the chance to reunite in a prospective season 4 and possibly have an unseen role in the climax ofDominion.

The Nublar Six’s Conflicts & Splits In Season 3 Explained

The Nublar Six Suffer From A Big Break-Up During Season 3

A major element ofJurassic World: Chaos Theory(as well as the show that proceeded it,Camp Cretaceous) has been the ever-evolving dynamics between the Nublar Six. Although they’ve all kept secrets from one another over the years, the revelation that Brooklynn was alive and keeping it hidden from them proves to be too much for the group to handle. Although Kenji seems to steadily get over his anger towards Darius and Ben, he refuses to accompany them to assist his ex-girlfriend. The bigger divide over Brookylnn ends up being between Sammy and Yaz,

Jurassic World Has Finally Become Jurassic “World”

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory brings the story to a global scale that could be an exciting portent for the future of the Jurassic World franchise.

Although the pair still clearly have feelings for one another, their growing differences acrossChaos Theoryreach a boiling point in season 3 over Yaz’s willingness to forgive Brooklynn. During an argument about Brooklynn, Sammy reveals her family has largely left her and that she is still hurt by Yaz’s emotional distance while she was in therapy. The pair decide to end their relationship before the group splits up, leaving the Nublar Six further divided on an emotional level. While the group will likely be reunited in a possible season 4, it’s unlikely those emotional bruises will easily recover.

Is Brooklynn Becoming A Villain In Jurassic World: Chaos Theory?

Brooklynn Crosses Some Moral Lines Even If She Remains A Hero

Brooklynn’s arc inChaos Theoryas a whole has focused on her increasing willingness to cross moral lines for the sake of the “greater good” in any given situation. This willingness to break bad is what impresses Santos in season 2, setting up their surprisingly complex relationship in season 3. On a certain level, Brooklynn does well in Santos' world, quickly adapting to her profits-driven pragmatism. While Brooklynn never really seems tempted to fully join Santos and her black market operation, she clearly loses herself in the authority and power she gains while following in Santos' footsteps.

Voiced by Jenna Ortega inJurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Brooklynn is voiced by Kiersten Kelly inChaos Theory.

One of the most notable moments of the season comes when Brooklynn is trying to maintain her cover while also ensuring a young reporter named Davi doesn’t get himself killed. A former fan of Brooklynn,Davi is horrified by what Brookylnn is willing to do — leading Brooklynn to impulsively threaten his life without even realizing it. While Brooklynn definitely ends the season as a heroic character, her evolution into a more ruthless figure in season 3 who ultimately succeeds in part because of how those qualities keep her alive, raises questions about what true morality looks like in this setting.

How Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 3’s Ending Sets Up Season 4

Season 3 Doesn’t End On A Cliffhanger, But Leaves Too Many Threads Unresolved To Just End

Jurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 3 doesn’t necessarily end on a cliffhanger, but it does feel like the show needs at least one more season to fully conclude the main storyline. The story arc surrounding Brooklynn and the Broker has been resolved, but there’s still clearly a lot of personal drama to be resolved within the Nublar Six. On top of that, Bumpy has gone missing and the six divided heroes are all heading to the same place (that also just so happens to be the setting forJurassic World: Dominion’s climax).

This could even be the perfect opportunity to introduce the Nublar Six to some of the Jurassic characters better known for their live-action counterparts. While the show definitely feels like it is heading towards a conclusion, there are too many lingering plot threads (such as Bumpy’s kidnapping, Dodgson’s schemes with the genetically modified locust, and the reunion of the Nublar Six) to end things now.Jurassic World: Chaos Theoryhas a really solid season 3, but it could be setting the stage for an even bigger season 4.
