Netflix’s Vince McMahon Documentary Went From Retrospective To “Rise And Fall”
Fans Are Eager To See Just How Much The Documentary Will Show
Netflix first announced back in 2020 their plans to create a documentary about the former CEO of WWE. It appeared that the initial intent was to provide a simple retrospective of his life from his birth to the present, but of course, life itself would have other plans, with enough twists and turns to fill out an Attitude Era storyline. Within two years, allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced, along with hush payments to silence the victims. Eventually,Vince McMahon would announce his retirement.
Even more shocking, within six months, Vince would return to WWE,seemingly just to sell the company, but when a merger with UFC’s parent company TKO came to fruition, it seemed as though there were plans for Vince to remain a permanent fixture. Those plans would change when those initial sexual misconduct and hush money allegations evolved intosex trafficking and assault allegations. Those allegations alongside a lawsuit would ultimately lead to Vince’s second exit from the company.

The Duality of Vince McMahon
From Genius Businessman To Sexual Predator
Judging from the promotional material, it’s likely that the Netflix docuseries will delve deeply into the recent allegations and lawsuit. As the case is still developing and no verdict has been issued, it will be interesting to see just how much the documentary will be allowed to show. Regardless, it will be fascinating to see how Netflix showcasesthe duality of the infamous Mr. McMahon character and the just as infamous Vince McMahon person.
Mr. McMahonwill stream exclusively on Netflix starting on September 25
