The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Re:Zero anime released a trailer for the second part titled the Counterattack Arc, and episode 9 of the season,which is scheduled to start airing on June 16, 2025, for 8 episodes. Episode 8 concluded on November 20, and the second portion of this season is one ofwinter 2025’s most anticipated anime.

Meanwhile, Subaru’s friends, Liliana and Priscilla take on the Sin Archbishop of Wrath, Ricardo and Julius fave off against the Sin Archbishop of Greed, and Garfiel and Wilhem battle the Sin Archbishop of Lust. With the coordinated battles on multiple fronts, the Counterattack arc will be the most exciting season of the series so far.

Masaharu Watanabe continues as the director, maintaining his role from previous anime seasons.
