A new video has appeared on theNintendo Japanwebsite that reveals more of the rifts plaguing the kingdom. This time, viewers see the extent of the rifts' destruction, with accompanying text in Japanese that translates to “The world of Hyrule is being swallowed up by a mysterious rift. Now that the swordsman Link and the King of Hyrule have disappeared…”
The video shows a kingdom torn apart by these otherworldly rifts, completely swallowing up large parts of Zelda’s home, including the entire castle. In a desperate bid to protect his home and the princess, the king is shown to throw Zelda to safety, out of the path of an oncoming rift. New screenshots have also been added to the website, showing much more of the world than previously revealed, showing new enemies and friends that the princess will make as she searches for a way to save Link and her people - and, it appears, her own father, the king.

The game will also feature more puzzle-centric gameplay, making it seem like an overall lighter entry to the series.
However, it’s clear from the new screenshots and video clip thatEchoes of Wisdomwon’t shy away from the action and drama. Princess Zelda is shown in one fell swoop to lose her friend, father, and much of her home. Despite the cute style, Zelda’s task is not an easy one. After all, as the website declares, it’s “The fate of the world, entrusted to Princess Zelda.”
