Prior to the cliffhanger in “The Stunt Man,” her role thus far revolved around the movie and was seemingly unrelated to Sazz’s death.

That has changed now that she is seen inside the future home of the Sazz Pataki Impact Academy, which was revealed in a flashback to be a secret passion project that tragically left incompletebefore Sazz’s death. When Charles, Oliver, and Mabel heard a noise from inside, they entered the dark, cluttered, and unfinished facility, only to discover Bev, who pointed a gun at them and threatened to blow their brains out if they moved. This raises the question of why the Hollywood movie producer is there and why she is threatening Charles, Oliver, and Mabel.

Why Is Bev Melon Pointing A Gun At Charles, Oliver & Mabel In OMITB Season 4, Episode 4’s Ending?

There Is More To Bev Than The Trio Thought

It is currently unconfirmed why Bev is at the unfinished Sazz Pataki Impact Academy and why she has a gun with her, but it may relate to her job as a Hollywood producer. Both Bev and Sazz worked in Hollywood, and while a high-powered producer and a stunt double might not seem like two individuals who would have crossed paths, they may be tightly connected due to their involvement in the industry. Depending on the nature of a potential relationship,Bev may have played a role in Sazz’s death, or she may be investigating it on her own terms.

Clues That Bev Melon Killed Sazz In Only Murders In The Building

Episode 4’s Opening Auditions Are Even More Suspicious Now

While Bev could be a red herring, there have been clues indicating that she could be Sazz’s killer, withone of the most significant clues being the timing of the auditions Bev holds in “The Stunt Man.“A flyer about open auditions for theOnly Murders in the Buildingmovie is conveniently slipped under the door to Mabel’s new apartment when she is not there and Howard Morris (Michael Cyril Creighton) is supposed to be staying there in case the mysterious Dudenoff returns. This predictably lured Howard away from the apartment and to the auditions where Bev was present.

Mabel has been squatting in Dudenoff’s apartment, which is where she is now living.

It is strange that there would be open auditions held in the Arconia for a big-budget Hollywood movie starring Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, and Eva Longoria. Only Murders In The Building Season 4 Review: A More Personal Case Reminds Us Why We Love This Show

With a more personal case, a huge cast of colorful personalities, and satisfying twists, Only Murders in the Building season 4 is a return to form.

Beyond the open auditions, there is also the matter of Bev conveniently contacting the trio about the movie the morning after Sazz died. She may have been trying to draw them away from New York and to Los Angeles while Sazz was disposed of, and thereby delaying their discovery of what happened. Bev is also established to be bad with faces, as she described the Brothers sisters as identical twins even though they are not, meaningshe could have killed Sazz when she was intending to kill Charles and was unable to distinguish between their faces.

Why Bev Melon May Not Be Sazz’s Killer

It’s Too Soon For The Killer To Be Revealed

Despite the clues pointing to Bev potentially being Sazz’s killer, it is too early in the season for such a massive reveal. There are still six episodes left, meaning there are inevitably many more twists and turns ahead of the real killer being unmasked, with more than half ofOnly Murders in the Buildingseason 4’s releasestill to come. Why Bev is by herself at the Sazz Pataki Impact Academy and what she knows may help the case move forward, but she is not where the investigation ends.

Bev is more likely to be a red herring, although her real reason for being in New York and looking into an important part of Sazz’s life will surely provide new insight into the ongoing investigation.

It is important to remember thatit was seemingly Charles, and not Sazz, who was the shooter’s actual target. Charles and Bev met for the first time this season and do not have any personal history together, making it difficult to see what kind of motive Bev could have for wanting to kill him. Bev is more likely to be a red herring, although her real reason for being in New York and looking into an important part of Sazz’s life will surely provide new insight into the ongoing investigation.

This Could Be Another Dopplegänger

“The Stunt Man” introduced a new character, Glenn Stubbins (Paul Rudd), who was revealed to be Ben Glenroy’s stunt double. When addressingRudd’s surprisingOnly Murders in the Buildingreturn, showrunner John Hoffman teased that"we have dopplegängers all throughout the season,“which could mean that the character holding the gun may not be Bev, but a dopplegänger of hers. This character may even be Helga, with the latest episode revealing her as the identity of the mysterious voice on the ham radio. Helga is the former girlfriend of Rudy Thurber (Kumail Nanjiani), one ofOnly Murders in the Building’s Westies, and was said to be even too weird by their standards.
