The following contains spoilers for Arcane season 2 episode 2, “Watch It All Burn,” now streaming on NetflixArcaneseason 2 gives Sevika a new cyborg arm that works in some pretty unique ways. Played by Amirah Vann, Sevika was introduced in season 1 of theLeague of Legendsadaptation working as Silco’s main enforcer. A deadly and dangerous brawler who proves to be craftier than anyone gives her credit for, Sevika was a compelling minor villain in season 1 who barely escaped her final fight with Vi with her life inArcaneseason 1’s ending.
Sevika takes on a very different role inArcaneseason 2, which shifts her priorities in light of Silco’s death. This eventually leads her to back to Jinx and a new arm to replace the cyborg one that Vi demolished in season 1. This new arm comes with a lot of really cool visual elements and adaptable abilities, even if it also has an inherently chaotic aspect that keeps it from being always reliable. Here is how Sevika gets her new arm inArcaneseason 2and how it works.

Sevika’s New Cyborg Arm In Arcane Season 2, Explained
ArcaneGives Sevika A Really Cool Replacement After Vi Broke Her Arm In Season 1
Sevika gets a new cyborg arm in the second episode ofArcaneseason 2, giving her a host of new abilities while also cementing her bond with Jinx. The second episode of season 2, “Watch It All Burn,” is focused entirely on the citizens of Zaun. Sevika becomes frustrated with the Chem-Barons warring among themselves and shares a moment with Jinx, who thanks her by crafting a new cyborg arm. Unlike her Shimmer powered one from season 1, this arm seems to be more mechanical. It’s also far more chaotic, reflecting the impulsive attitudes of its creator.
New League Of Legends Projects After Arcane Makes The Upcoming Final Season Even More Exciting
Despite the disappointment over Arcane season 2 being the last installment, the possibility of more League of Legends shows makes it more exciting.
Sevika’s new arm, which has a shark’s maw instead of a traditional hand, is activated through the use of a crank. This sets off a mini-slot machine on the arm. The slot machine unlocks different abilities hidden within the arm, which impacts exactly how Sevika can approach a fight. Some of these combinations reveal a grappling hook, an extended boxing glove, a flamethrower, throwing stars, a smoke bomb setting, music speakers, or fireworks. This gives Sevika a degree of unpredictability in a fight, which she initially bristles against but quickly adapts to during her fateful brawl with Smeech.

How Sevika’s New Arm Symbolizes Her Season 2 Arc With Jinx
The New Arm Comes With A New Bond
Sevika receiving the new arm from Jinx is a big turn inArcane, especially after their antagonistic relationship in the first season. Sevika mistrusted Jinx’s influence on Silco during that storyline and constantly needled the young woman, leading Jinx to eventually lash out at her. However, while both grieve the loss of Silco and the trouble he’s left for them in season 2, they find an unlikely connection. As a result,Sevika’s new arm is directly reflective of Jinx’s design habits, seemingly cementing their bond with a new fixture for Sevika to rely on.
Sevika’s new arm comes in handy quickly, allowing Sevika to fight alongside Jinx and almost get the better of Caitlyn in the subsequent episode, “Finally Got The Name Right.“It also reinforces a more emotionally open Sevika, who spent most of the first season as a more antagonistic force against both Vi and Jinx. It’s also not derived fromArcane’s Hextech, meaning it isn’t affected like the other weapons are when Jayce approaches a Wild Rune. Although it’s possible that Sevika could could get an upgrade eventually,Arcanegives her a really cool new arm to rely on.
