Amidst all the celebration, however, fans have noticed that the many works of one highly regarded Jump artist, Tatsuki Fujimoto, are nowhere to be found in the upcoming exhibition. Chainsaw Man and Other Fujimoto Works are Left Out of the Celebration

The Upcoming Exhibit is Excluding Manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto

Leaving the critically acclaimed work of Tatsuki Fujimoto out of a celebration ofJump+’s most defining works of the past decade is a definite head-scratcher.Chainsaw Manis arguably the most popular series to be exclusively published on the platform, while theupcomingChainsaw Man: The Movie - Reze Archas countless fans eagerly awaiting its release. Despite the series' massive popularity,Shōnen Jumpreleased the event’s key visual with neither Denji nor Pochita in sight.

Based on the official artwork and web description, it seems the exhibition will be focusing on other wildly popular series like thecurrently on hiatusSpy x FamilyandDandadan. No official reason has been givenas to why Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga is being excluded from the events, though there are some possible explanations.

Fujimoto’s Exclusion From the Jump+ Exhibition Shouldn’t Spark Concern

GivenChainsaw Man’s continued publication inJump+, there doesn’t seem to be any sign of a falling out between the creator andShōnen Jump. There are a number of possible explanations for the absence of Fujimoto’s work in the upcoming exhibition, though the most likely is that the author is simply busy. The life of a manga artist isn’t easy, andChainsaw Man’s shifting weekly and bi-weekly status is likely a product of the job’s rigorous demands. Tatsuya Endo, whoseSpy x Familywill be featured,is currently taking a break due to health concernsrelated to his work.

Seeing as the exhibition would require additional illustrations from the author,Fujimoto may have opted out to focus on his ongoing series. There is also the possibility that an event focusing solely on the artist’s work is being planned, similar to theTatsuki Fujimoto exhibit held in France in 2022.

The Chainsaw Man anime ended nearly two years ago, and it’s possible that the series' art direction may be changing for the upcoming Reze film.

Despite its massive popularity and status as one ofJump+’s headlining series,Chainsaw Manwill ultimately not be featured at the upcoming 10-year exhibition. Fans shouldn’t be overly concerned, however, as the series' next chapter is still scheduled for release on the platform in its usual slot.
