Star Wars Outlawshas a number of fun choices for the player to make, from the consequence-filled, nail-biting decisions to the more laidback and chuckle-worthy ones. Each of these choices gives the player the opportunity to further roleplay as Kay and put their unique spin on her and her scoundrel ways. However, by far, one of the most hilarious and potentially dark choices players need to make is whether to sell the adorable companion Nix for meat.
While it’s perhaps not as groundbreaking of a decision aswhich Syndicate players should side with inStar Wars Outlaws, this fun interaction with a cook in Toshara helps to not only immerse players further into the wonderful side of Miroganabut also deepens the bond between Nix and Kay. However, like all decisions inStar Wars Outlaws, it’s hard to go back and pick another one, as the game frequently autosaves right after a choice has been made. So, players wondering what happens if they do or don’t sell Nix are left in the dark.

Players Who Choose To Sell Nix Will Get A Hilarious Response
Nix Is Safe No Matter What Players Choose
If players choose to sell Nix to the cook in Toshara for just 20 credits inStar Wars Outlaws, then Nix will whimper and roll over, playing dead. The cook will then look at Kay and tell her that he wants the meat first, not Nix, who is still alive, as he knows Nix will just run away as soon as he gets the knives out. Kay then responds with, “Ah, works half the time,” before telling Nix to follow her, to which the cook replies that he wasn’t born yesterday and isn’t fooled by their plan.
The conversation seems to imply that Kay has not only been asked this question before but has, in the past, agreed to sell Nix, at least in an effort to swindle money from a cook. It’s a fun twist on the conversation, with Nix’s half-hearted attempt at playing dead clearly a part of their con to get a measly 20 credits from the vendor. Fortunately, players who pick the option to sell Nix don’t need to worry about actually losing Nix but instead can just enjoy a light-hearted conversation that exemplifies how the game nails theStar Warsuniverse and vibe, which is justone of the reasonsStar Wars Outlawsreviewed generally well.

Players Won’t Get Anything If They Choose To Spare Nix
The Cook Offers A Free Portion With Nix In It
Players who are kind and choose to spare Nix will enrage the cook a little, forcing him to offer Kay a portion on the house, just with Nix cooked inside of it. Nix, naturally, growls at the chef, to which Kay responds, “Careful, he bites.” It’s another fun exchange, although this is where it ends, with the player getting nothing from the cook or even a thanks from Nix.
Players won’t get anything regardless of which option they pick. Even if the player chooses to sell Nix, they won’t get the 20 credits suggested in the option. Instead, like many ofStar Wars Outlaws’choices, it’s more about the humorous dialogue and less about a reward.

Once again, players can rest assured that Nix is safe and sound, still remaining by Kay’s side and not inside a bubbling stew. Fortunately,Star Wars Outlawsis pretty clear when a choice will drastically affect the player, indicating what effect it’ll have on them or their relationships with the various factions. So, it would have been quite shocking to see Nix permanently die inStar Wars Outlawsand become a meal based on this choice.
