When you are wandering the Labyrinth inSilent Hill 2, James will once more come across Angela. When he does,Abstract Daddy will also show up, and you will be forced to face and defeat him. This will prove to be a challenging task, but there are ways you can defeat him without too much trouble.

This is why it is important tomanage your resources, as well as look around for ammo when you are walking around. With luck, you will be able to defeat this boss and many others. For Abstract Daddy specifically, you will have tofirst run from him before you may face and defeat him.
How To Outrun Abstract Daddy
Chase Sequences
You will encounter Abstract Daddy shortly after entering the Labyrinth, which will result in a fight that is one of the manychanges from the originalSilent Hill 2game. You will want to look around for resources beforeyou come across Angela in a small room. Once you enter, a cutscene will play. You’ll need to be prepared to act as soon as it is over, asAbstract Daddy will show up and begin to chase youwithin that cutscene.
What Happens When You Find All The Strange Photos In The Silent Hill 2 Remake?
One of the new collectible items in the Silent Hill 2 remake comes with a reward, encouraging players to search Silent Hill for these cryptic photos.
You will be chased down the corridor, andyou just need to continue down it until you are cornered in a single room. You will have to defeat him in a way at this point, and all he does at this point is do a single charge forward that you can dodge to the side of.Just fire your rounds into his backuntil he disappears. It will appear as if he is defeated, but he is not, and you will encounter him again.
This guide is for theStandard difficulty settings. Other difficulty settings may result in other solutions.
When you start working your way through the corridors after this, you will eventually come across Angela again, this time running left.Follow her into a closet hiding space, which you will want to make a note of. After you have cataloged this information, exit the closet and turn right, going through a series of doors that follow it. You will want tocontinue until you come across a room with a static-filled TV.
Smash the TV with your melee weapon, and then prepare to run again as Abstract Daddy will once again reappear. You can try to fight him if you want, which will be much the same as it was before. However, if you want to conserve ammo, which you should do,it is better to just avoid him. Even if you did defeat him again, he will reappear no matter what.
So to get away from him,head through a gap in the wall and keep goingdown the corridor. You will eventually find a windowsill that you can jump over on the right side. This will lead you back to that closest hiding space. Don’t enter it just yet,as you should have lost Abstract Daddyby this point.
Instead, if you are facing the closet,you will want to turn to your right and walk down the corridor. Eventually, Abstract Daddy will burst out of the wall and chase you again. At this point, turn around andrun back to the hiding spot and clamber in. Wait there until he has once again disappeared, and you will be free to go.
Walk down the newly created corridor in the space that he burst out of, and then squeeze through a gap in the wall that has appeared. If you take the door on your right, you will find a gap you can jump through to enter a room with a large fan. Keep following that corridoruntil you find another TV and destroy this one as well.
You cannot go back the way you came, sojump a new gap and follow that corridoruntil you find a new place to squeeze through on your right. You will then want to go left and follow those corridors until you find a third TV to destroy. Facing that TV,turn left and follow that path, picking up resources as you go, until you reach a pipe to jump over. This will take you to your final encounter with Abstract Daddy.
How To Defeat Abstract Daddy
Weak In The Back
Once you make your way down the corridor, you willend up in a very flesh-like room with a pulse like a heart. Abstract Daddy will find you one more time, but this time you will be able to defeat him for good. Do so, and Angela will have some peace, andyou will be able to descend deeperinto the Labyrinth.
He will be hard to see during this fight, as the room is dark and he will mostly stick to the shadows. He still has fairly simplistic moves, but keeping track of him will be the hard part. If you time things right and stay away from his direct attacks, you should be able to finish this quickly.
Make sure you have headphones on, as this will let you keep track of his general location even if you cannot see him.
His mainmove will be lurching at you to grab you, which you will still want to dodge to the side. However, he gains a couple of new moves at the same time. The first is how he attempts to close the distance and attack you. This is where he willdash rapidly across the room. Additionally, he willuse a string of punches when he is already facing youor close enough to you to make it viable. This is a rare move, but one that can be terrifyingly deadly. This is why it is best to stay at a distance.Dodge away from him and then fire at his back.
If you deal enough damage to him,he will unleash a scream that can disorient you, but it will not be for long and you should be able to recover in enough time to avoid taking damage. If you do,make sure to get some distance between you.
When you finally defeat him for the last time, you willsee another cutscene with Angela. Make sure to grab the Rifle Rounds nearby, but once the cutscene is over, you will have to continue through the Labyrinth to get to thefinal ending ofSilent Hill 2, which may not be the same one as you remember from before.
