Sister Wives' polygamist patriarchKody Brownwent through three divorces recently, but it’s possible that he could reunite with his second wife,Janelle Brown. Kody married his first wife, Meri Brown, in 1990, but the pair weren’t happy together. Since divorce wasn’t an option, they decided to bring in a second wife. Kody and Meri had polygamist family backgrounds, so it wasn’t an alien concept. At the time, Janelle was married to Meri’s brother, but she divorced him and married Kody in 1993.
Janelle had six children with Kody, but, when all was said and done,Kody had four wives and 18 children. Over the course of the last few years,three of Kody’s four wives have walked away from the plural marriage, and several of his adult children don’t speak to him. The recent premiere ofSister Wivesseason 19 finds Kody and his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, in a monogamous marriage. However, Robyn believes Kody can save his marriage to Janelle.

After marrying Janelle in 1993, Kody married his third wife, Christine Brown, in 1994.Kody and Janelle seemed mostly happy together, but things fell apart when Kody started feuding with Janelle’s older sons. In 2021, Christine left Kody, followed by Janelle, then Meri, in 2023, so Janelle was the second wife to join the family, and second to leave. TheSister Wivesseason 19 star had six children with Kody, but, sadly, their son,25-year-old Garrison Brown, died in March.

During a recent episode ofSister Wivesseason 19, 55-year-old Janelle told 52-year-old Christine that she enjoyed being in a plural marriage and would be open to polygamy again. Unlike Christine and Meri, who often felt neglected by Kody,Janelle appreciated the fact that Kody would only come over every few nights. She felt like it afforded her a level of independence that she really appreciated.

As Kody’s last remaining wife,Robyn doesn’t want to spend the rest of her life stuck all alone with Kody. TheSister Wivesstar married Kody to be part of a plural family, so she’s not interested in being his only wife.
