Paris’ girlfriend isn’t referred to by name at first and Ellie’s mom is referred to as “Mimi”, when her name is actually Celeste and she and Paris’ girlfriend are the same person.
Caddo Lake Ending Explained: How Paris, Ellie & Anna Are All Connected
Caddo Lake takes surprising twists while following the stories of Anna, Paris, and Ellie, revealing an important connection between them.
At one point inCaddo Lake, Paris and Ellie are on their respective boats and they pass a bridge: when Paris passes by, the bridge is intact, but when Ellie does, it’s destroyed, showing they live in two different times.The biggest clue, however, is the Cancer star sign necklaceAnna shows Ellie at the beginning of the movie. Anna tells Ellie that it was Celeste’s and she let her have it, and after she disappears, Paris finds the necklace in the lake, even though his father kept his mother’s Cancer necklace.
All these hints make sense once the time-traveling portals in the lake are revealed and the connection between Anna, Paris, Celeste, and Ellie is revealed. It’s unclear, however, if they are the only town residents linked through time paradoxes or if the whole town could also be related through them.
