Summary

Massive Entertainment’sStar Wars Outlawsfollows a scoundrel, Kay Vess, as she embarks on a daring heist in a bid to earn her freedom after one of the galaxy’s major crime lords, Sliro, puts a bounty on her head. However, her story won’t end there, as more DLC expansions have already been revealed as part of an upcoming Season Pass.

Screen Rant’s Rob Keyes visited Ubisoft Toronto and spoke toStar Wars: Outlaws' Narrative Director Navid Khavari about how Kay’s story can expand even further, and whether a potential sequel is on the cards. Khavari seemed responsive to the idea, wanting to see how Kay Vess could further change and grow over timeand where the syndicates she interacts with could go next, saying the following:

Star Wars Outlaws' official character poster, featuring Kay Vess, Nix, and various other new and established characters from Star Wars

Navid Khavari: There are hopes and dreams whenever you work on anything. Right? And I think the focus right now is on a great post-launch season pass with some fantastic DLCs and characters within that: Lando and Hondo Ohnaka. But I think with every character that we put in, we always wanted to build in an arc for them. So where I will sort of leave it is that that journey is what makes a Star Wars character a Star Wars character. It’s that classic feeling of this character needs to change and grow over time. So it’s something I’m constantly thinking about.

Star Wars Outlaws 2024 Roadmap: Season Pass Details & Exclusive Mission

With Star Wars Outlaws due to launch later this month, Ubisoft has provided some insight into what the game’s post-launch roadmap will include.

Star Wars Outlaws' Season Pass Has More Ties To The Wider Universe

With Major Appearances From Other Characters

Whilecharacters such as Jabba the Hutt and Qi’rahave long been confirmed to appear inStar Wars Outlaws, for the most part, Kay Vess' story seems set to take place outside of the main conflict of the movies. However, the season pass looks set to potentially tie in a bit further with the wider universe with the arrival of Lando Calrissian and Hondo Ohnaka.

Lando appears in the first story DLC pack,Wild Card, and while this sees Kay being hired to infiltrate a high-stakes Sabacc tournament, she will soon learn there’s something far greater afoot. ConsideringStar Wars Outlawstakes place betweenThe Empire Strikes BackandReturn of the Jedi, and the Hutt cartel is already present,it will be interesting to see if Kay’s time with Lando sets up the daring rescue of Han Soloin the latter film’s opening, even if Kay wasn’t actually present for it.
