Sitting alone on a small rowboat, Steve tells Diana that he knocked out Charon, the ferryman of the vessel, and begins talking about how much he loves her as the pair attempt to extend their final emotional moments. Reminiscing on the memory of his late grandmother,Steve tells Diana, “I just think… her story’s like ours. It can’t end in death,” telling Wonder Woman — and fans — that thisisn’tthe end for them, far from it.
