Superman Left Krypton With His Family and Other Kryptonians

Kal-El Might Not Be as Alone as Fans Thought He Was

Things are a lot moredifficult in the Absolute Universe. Because the world was founded on Darkseid energy, things are far more challenging as turmoil is one of the guiding principles while hope is fleeting. In Superman’s case, he wasn’t rocketed to Earth and adopted by the Kents to live as a human. He grew up in Kryptonian society, witnessing its oppressive systems trample on good, hard-working people like his mother and father. But Kal-El did eventually come to Earth, though he was alone, preferring to keep himself hidden with no one to accompany him but his intelligent Sol armor.

The idea of Krypton having additional survivors isn’t unusual. After all, in the Prime Universe, Superman has met more than a handful of other Kryptonians such as his cousin Supergirl, the Kandorians, and the dozens of criminals lurking in the Phantom Zone. But unlike the Prime continuity, Absolute Superman was joined by a small village of Kryptonians, including his parents. The question, of course, is what happened to these people?By the time Absolute Superman starts, Kal-El is alone. Are these Kryptonians still around, or did something tragic happen to the last remnants of his community?

Or Was Kal-El Separated from His People Entirely?

Readers don’t exactly know what happened between the last moments of Krypton and when Absolute Superman #1 began. But Superman is alone and trying to stay as hidden as possible. It’ll be interesting to discover what happened to the rest of the Kryptonians that left the dying planet with the young Kal-El. Hopefully, fans will get a satisfying answer to whether or notAbsolute Supermanis truly alone.
