Summary

Netflix’sThat ‘90s Showpart 3 introduces the never-before-seen uncle of Bob Pinciotti, yet still leaves the family’s biggest unanswered question unaddressed. TheForman family treewas thoroughly explored throughoutThat ‘70s Show, from introducing Red and Kitty’s parents and siblings to Eric’s cousins, but thePinciotti family tree was largely untouched outside of Donna, Midge, and Bob themselves. With Donna and Eric’s daughter taking the forefront ofThat ‘90s Show, the sequel series is finally filling in the gaps by introducing family members from Leia’s mom’s side.

With Bob Pinciotti officially living in Point Place again ahead ofThat ‘90s Showpart 2’s ending, Don Stark’s iconic character gets a bigger focus as he bonds with his granddaughter over the summers. This includes finally getting to meet some of Bob’s relatives who have seemingly been living in Point Place all along, which begs the question of why they were never introduced or mentioned at his and Midge’s vow renewal inThat ‘70s Show. Regardless, thereveal of Bob’s Italian unclesolves a mysteryabout what the other Pinciottis are like outside of Donna’s parents.

Uncle Spogiera Is Introducted In That ’90s Show Part 3

InThat ‘90s Showpart 3, episode 1,Bob Pinciotti’s uncle Spogiera is officially introduced. This marks the first time that the show has cast a member of Bob Pinciotti’s extended family, painting a more detailed portrait of Donna’s lovable father. Bob brings in Spogiera, who only speaks in Italian, to help fix the wall thatLeo’s son Sonny (Kevin Smith) left in the Formans’ kitchen after driving his car into the house. Bob reveals that Uncle Spogiera watched the Empire State Building’s construction in New York, which somehow gives him the qualifications to fix a wall.

Considering Bob’s uncle is in Point Place, the door is now open for more Pinciotti family members to joinThat ‘90s Show’s cast of charactersin the future. However, whileSpogiera and Bob do mention another previously unknown family member named Maria, it’s implied that she passed away. Still, with Michael Kelso’s daughter Betsy also returning inThat ‘90s Showpart 3, the sequel series is ensuring that the extended members of the iconic Point Place families aren’t being overlooked.

That ’90s Show Is Finally Bringing Back A Character That Hasn’t Been Seen In 19 Years

That ’90s Show is bringing back another That ’70s Show character in part 3 - this time one who disappeared from the show nearly two decades ago.

That ’90s Show Still Hasn’t Solved The Mystery Of Bob & Midge’s Daughter, Tina

While it’s exciting to see more members of Bob, Donna, and Leia’s family inThat ‘90s Show, Netflix’s sitcom still hasn’t addressed the Pinciottis’ biggest mystery from the original series. InThat ‘70s Showseason 1, it was revealed thatDonna had a sister named Tina, who appeared in one episode before never being seen or mentioned by the characters again. While it’s clear thatthe show decided to get rid of Donna’s sister behind the scenes, there’s never been an on-screen explanationfor the character or her subsequent absence.

It was also revealed inThat ’70s Showseason 1 that Donna had an older sister, Valerie, who was never seen or mentioned again.

Red implied inThat ‘90s Showseason 1 that Donna doesn’t have sisters, stating, “There’s only one girl in the world with Bob as her father.” This was seemingly the nail in the coffin for the show to ever re-introduce Tina and gaslight viewers into believing she’d been there all along. Sadly, while thisremains one of the biggest retcons and unexplained details inThat ‘70s Show, it seems unlikely that Bob will give a satisfying resolution to the mystery about Tina Pinciotti inThat ‘90s Show.
