What This Means For The Goonies
Their Cast’s Bond Is Particularly Strong
40 years later,The Gooniescast is still a tightly-knit group that makes an effort to support each other. Quan noted that Green, who played Andy, flew in from New York to attend the ceremony. BetweenThe Goonies' many great quotesand how it remains a beloved 1980s movie, it is heartwarming to know that part of the film’s enduring legacy is the genuine bonds that exist among the cast members. This makes reunions such as this one all the more meaningful.
Every Ke Huy Quan Movie, Ranked Worst To Best
Loki star Ke Huy Quan is enjoying a career resurgence following his Oscar win with a starring role in the MCU, but he’s also in some great movies.
After news broke ofThe Goonies 2being in development, with Columbus involved, the hand-and-footprint ceremony may only be a precursor to a more extensive reunion in the coming years. The sequel is still in the very early stages of development, but it would be a great opportunity for Quan and his co-stars to reprise their roles. Quan shared at the ceremony that"I would be so happy to revisit that character and, of course, go on another Goonies adventure with my fellow Goonies"and withGoonies 2in the works, this may become a reality.

Our Take On The Goonies' Reunion
It Is Wonderful, And Not The Only Goonies Reunion This Week
The reunion feels particularly specialbecause of the group dynamics amongThe Goonies' cast of characters. Those dynamics continue to exist with so many of the cast members coming out to celebrate Quan. WhileGoonies 2is still a ways off,a more imminent reunion can be seen inLove Hurts, which not only features Quan, but also Sean Astin, who played Mikey in the 1985 movie. Hopefully, a larger reunion will come to fruition in the developing sequel asThe Gooniescontinue to live on.
