SmiteandSmite 2have teamed up with Warner Bros. to bring players exclusive free rewards based on the upcoming movie,The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. The characters fromLotRwill feel right at home among the cast ofSmiteand its visually improved sister game,Smite 2.The titles are MOBAs that pit teams of gods, goddesses, and other characters from mythology against each other in epic skirmishes.
Developers Hi Rez Studios and Titan Forge Games have announced the event launching in partnership with Warner Bros.,with free rewards for players who play 10 games in either title. Starting December 10,SmiteandSmite 2players will have a chance to unlock four exclusive cosmetic items in each game, according to the officialSmite 2website. The collaboration event will be active until January 14.

In fact, the official crossover page notes that, for instance, “playing 5 games in each will not provide the rewards.” This is great news for players who aren’t ready to switch fromSmiteto the upgradedSmite 2,which is still in alpha with a release window of early 2025.
