What Happens In The Studio Teaser Trailer
It’s Very Hectic
Rogen plays Matt Remick inThe Studio, the embattled head of Continental Studios. In an echo of the current landscape, movies are struggling to stay relevant as Remick and his team have to contend with several difficulties in the process of making great films. More details about the series are revealed in the official synopsis below:
Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of embattled Continental Studios. As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films. With their power suits masking their never-ending sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting and award show presents them with an opportunity for glittering success or career-ending catastrophe. As someone who eats, sleeps and breathes movies, it’s the job Matt’s been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him.

With an ensemble that includesCatherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, and guest star Bryan Cranston, the trailer is reminiscent of the current HBO comedyThe Franchise. But whereas that series is focused on the specific chaos of making a superhero movie,The Studiois all about the larger chaos of moviemaking. The high-profile cameos don’t think much of Remick, withScorsese telling him off.
