Dead Spaceis often heralded for its terrifying enemies, extreme violence, and psychological toll, but the remake is also surprisingly accommodating to those who prefer a more sanitized gaming experience. Included with the updated mechanics comes improved accessibility controls. TheDead Spaceremake added incredible new goreand blood splatters to the already gruesome game, but one interesting new feature is the gore filter, which allows players to experience the game with virtually no blood or guts.

On top of that, the graphics have been given a complete overhaul, and create a haunting atmosphere. There are also side quests, unlike the original, as well asan alternate ending that gives players a ton of missing backstory about Isaac and his love interest, Nicole. Overall, theDead Spaceremake has beenupdated to stay relevant for modern audiences, and with the low price of entry thanks to PS Plus, there’s never been a better time to give the legendary horror game a go.
