If you likeConnections, you should check out the other populardaily puzzle game,Wordle. This game is all aboutfiguring out the structure of words and knowing the rules for what letters can go where. What makes this harder is that it is English, and famously the rules in English have more exceptions than it should be possible to have. However, it is quite fun and scratches the same sort of itch thatConnectionsdoes.

Today’s Connections Category Hints
AUGUST 19 #434
The categories today are all fairly different but the words are all nouns and it can be hard to separate them. However, to aid you in your attempts to do so, we have some hints about what the categories might be:
There are some complexities in these categories, as you might be able to tell from the hints. This can make the puzzle more difficult than it should be. Because of that, we also have the category names for you today.

FOLK
ROCK
This was the easiest category to figure out, as looking at the various answers, this seemed to be the thing most tied together and most obvious to spot ifyou know anything about various music genres. ROCK could possibly fit with some of the other nature-themed words, but with three more obvious music genres and nothing to tie FOLK and BLUES to except for COUNTRY, it made it easier to fit it in here.
MUSTARD
SAUERKRAUT
BRAT being here makes the former Milwaukee-resident side of me a little sad. Not because it shouldn’t be with these ingredients, but because the BRAT is not a “go with.” It is the Bratwurst. You cannot have it without it. They could have reworded the category to just say ingredients that make up a Bratwurst, but instead, they worded it to make it slightly inaccurate. I’m not bitter, I’m just very fluent in Brat.
NYT Mini Crossword: 8 Strategies To Solve It Fast
This tricky little five by five crossword isn’t always as easy as it looks; here are a couple easy tips and tricks to beat your friends' times!
TREE
WARRIOR
This one is better, at least according to my knowledge of yoga. Having only encountered it from other people or from pop culture, I could not be as fluent in yoga as I am Brat. However, I have heard ofall of these yoga poses before, and if you manage to connect them you should be able to get this category. The difficult comes in picking these words out of the ones for the next category, which can be difficult due to the oddly phrased next category.
UPDO
WALLET
This is vague and much harder to spot without knowing what you are looking for. The challenge comes in that it isthe word itself that starts with the name of aPixarmovie, which might be hard to spot.Cocowas a little more recent and popular, althoughSoulis the most recent one here but with not as much popularity.UPandWall-Ewere some of the bestPixarmovies of their time, but they are a little older now and may not immediately come to mind when looking at these words.
