Today’s Connections Category Hints
MARCH 17 #645
If you are looking for some hints, you are in the right place.I spotted one of the more difficult categories quite quickly, mainly due to how the puzzle appeared on my screen when I first loaded it. That made the rest of the puzzle a lot easier, but without that I don’t think the result would be similar. So if you haven’t caught the clue that I did, I can help you out by giving you a few clues right now.
10 Best Connections Tips, Tricks, & Strategies
Four categories with four words each sounds simple, but the daily challenge of the Connections game can prove difficult without a few tips to help.
If you need more than just some hints, the category names might be all you need to get the right answers. Usually, that is a fairly big clue that gives away most of the puzzle’s tricks. However, sometimes there are too many words that can go in too many places, and in that case, you can check out the spoilers.

STRING
THREAD
I was able to solve this one second, and you may or may not know that I have recently taken up a lot of fiber arts crafting, so this stood out to me pretty fast. I thinkfor someone who isn’t as familiar with the craft it may be a little harder. However, it is the “easy” category and I think that today it likely is. I don’t always feel that way, but all of these words are close enough to each other that it is.
SPONTANEITY
UNRESTRAINT
I got this one third because I had already solved the blue category, but it doesn’t feel too hard. I think some of the words could be easy to place elsewhere.FREEDOM could go in other categoriesbased on the other words in the puzzle. However, I typically find that the definition-based categories are the easiest for me to put together, so this one should be okay for most people.

MONSTER
PICKUP
I got this one first, and it wasbecause GARBAGE and MONSTER were right next to each other when I loaded in. It grabbed my notice right away, and I immediately looked for other words that might go in this category. I do feel like a DUMP truck and a GARBAGE truck are the same thing, but I won’t complain about a nice gift. I also thought when I initially put it together that it would have been yellow or green, but, again, who am I to complain?
MAROON
MC
I might have put JACKSON and MAROON together eventually, but I’m not sure I would have connected the other two. I likely would have looked up BEN FOLDS to see what it was, since it was so unique compared to the other words. I did initially think JACKSON, MAROON, and FREEDOM might go together. However, I’m glad I didn’t waste the guess on it and looked for other options first.
